I hate the thermal scopes - slow to aim, you need to have a target before aiming etc etc

The only way I could think to use them is with scavenger, smoke grenades and possibly with ninja and cold blooded.

Can anyone explain to me the error of my ways? I just don't get it

The benefit of the thermal is that you can see people a lot better, I've been getting loads of kills on skidrow by aiming through buildings and shooting peoples feet, or shooting at an exposed shoulder. Because people show up so brightly against the background you notice them more, you will also notice other people moving near your intended target so its easier to line up the next kill.

As all the badges are essentially meaningless due to boosters et al, what would people consider to be the most prestigious / rarest emblem or call sign? Not including any that come after prestige, but that can be attained within the first 70 levels? Obviously the one AhMunnaEetChoo posted would be a candidate.

I think Uzi hit the nail on the head.....a shame all those boosters make it pointless

There's also one for getting a game winning kill with a package drop and one for two head shots with one bullet. Though chances are you'd get those from pure fluke without thinking about it.

Scrambler Pro. Although regular Scrambler seems to work too, which I'm guessing is a bug.

Maybe Lightweight too? How are you positioning the claymore in relation to the door?

scrambler pro delays it by 3 seconds... but 9 times out of 10 they shot it or ran through the explosion.

Yes and if you have lightweight (and marathon) you can very easily run past them before they detonate eithout scrambler pro. Flashbangs temporarily disable them too.

Could the claymores be being flashbanged/stunned without you noticing (ie. the claymore's not in the same room as you)?

I am absolutely loving the spas shotgun, it's so satisfying, and very good on indoors maps like Skidrow. One question though, to grip or not to grip? I hardly ever use it at a range of more than about 15 yards, and up close a lack of bullet spread to me seems like it might not be such a good idea...

Anybody have any opinions on using a grip with the spas?

Tried a few different ways as it happens quite alot to me, particular example is in one of the buildings in rundown overlooking a bridge in the south of the map where you have to enter up some external stairs - i've tried it halfway up the stairs, right in the doorway or just after the doorway round the corner a bit.

I never hear it click first or someone shooting at it, I'll just be looking through windows and the I'll silently get stabbed from behind as if the claymoor didn't even trigger.

I can't see it being much help. The grip is brilliant on the AA-12 because it stops the gun from jumping up after each shot, meaning you can get 5 shots off at your intended targets pretty quickly. With the spas the reload time means you won't be firing off that many rounds in quick succession.

Test it. Make a class with grip, make a class without. Start a private game, unload into a wall and you will see the spread of pellets.
