Going through my first prestige and unlocked teh AUG HBAR again. My god, I forgot how amazing it is, I had 38 kills on Derailed earlier with it. Team Deathmatch Express too... Get a grip and it's unstoppable.

I was playing S A D before and kill the hole team then a 10 prestige comes in obviosly modding yousing a usp.45 i am on a 9 kill streak i put a full clip off famas in him he shoots me once with his pistol and i fucking die i was so pissed so we get back in lobby and he starts going i rapped you so i back out and search for one again i join the same game i dont see this guy he some how appears in the game im on a predetaor killstreak i call it in i call it on this guys head and he dont die so i thought i will go and kill him and its the fucking same guy so we go into the next round i try and avoid this guy i kill two people then i look at the guys k/d and he has 10 to 0 so i try and hunt him down cant find him i defuse the bomb and he kills me after i defuse straight away now thats 3 all overtime i go plant the bomb camp but its search so you are apost to camp he come running round i shoot and i finally kill him after so many times i am so happy i send him a message saying you cunting modder and he sends me a message back saying i would own you any way so i am like ok if you say so i leave and getin a game with no modders and only 3rd prestiges and 2nd and 1st and have a fair game... Basically the thing i am trying to say his i hate modders.

Fucking hell.

I'm not normally a great fan of swearing but, much as I love this game, the air turns absolutely blue when I'm playing it. It's terrible and I really apologise to all the good people I play with. They swear too but I'm probably the worst offender. The two things that set me off worst are people who stand in/block doorways (had an absolute tirade at one offender last night) and people who, when you take up a position at a window or wherever, decide it would be a good idea for them to stand right in front of you. Last night this happened then, unbelievably, another guy stood in front of both of us leading to another tirade from me ending with "is the map not fucking big enough for you?!!".

I hasten to add that my regular team-mates don't do these things, just randoms when we don't have a full team or when I'm playing MTDM.

I'm not so sure man. I'm like Larry David at a Poker game when I get going.

I had a guy run in a door I was running out of, causing us both to stop dead and then BOOM grenade launcher takes us both out.

My game time really has been limited over the last few days, I have the house to myself this afternoon so hopefully I'll get a few games in this afternoon. Its odd that I still can't get enough of the game despite being a lone wolf since Xmas as my regular friends have moved on to other games.

Anyway, it can be annoying at my low level as I am so weak to air support. I prestiged so I don't have cold blooded or a stinger missile yet. Yelling for team mates who are level enough to have the required anti air kit only to be ignored while a harrier or cobra chalks up kill after kill after kill is an exercise in frustration. I'm smart enough to stay out of harms way, but it's still serving as hugely suppressive fire. The distribution of unlocks is fine except for the denial of any anti air stuff to people below level 30. You can switch to scout sniper but that's about it. I think if I had any say in it, switching the unlocks of the Thumper and Stinger would happen.

On a more cheerful note, my flirtation with the Shotguns continues. I only have the SPAS 12 available at the moment. It's pretty good, isn't it? You have to make the first shot count as it's pump action and has a very slow rate of fire, but the power, range and accuracy are all very good. I'm switching to it all the time when I go indoors. I know it's difficult ask for tips with a shotgun as you tend to just point and shoot, but do any SPAS 12 fans out there want to evangalise about it? Is it worth using over other shotguns when I unlock them?

Riot shield with throwing knife and commando. Trying to work out what other perks would work best with it. Throwing knife's your main weapon though. Try and corner an enemy, and as they pause to figure out what to do, BAM THROWING KNIFE IN THE FACE. Don't get a gread K\D ratio with it but riot shields are always fun

I'd recommend stun grenades for the riot shield throwing knife combo. They're quick to throw and keep them nice and still for the throwing knife finisher.

I'm playing about with the Spas too. Lovely noises and reload rumbles! It may have a brilliant range but can't compete if you bump into more than 1 enemy. Maybe it's best used by popping round a corner and quickly retreating to pump the next shot? Steady aim and never ADS goes without saying.

You watched Wings of Redemption's SPAS 12 video? That thing has some range on it. I think think the AA12 is easily the best shotgun, followed by the M1014 and then the striker. All purely due to rate of fire. The SPAS is amazing if you're good enough to always hit with your first shot though. I'm not.

I might take an M1014 with extended mags over it, because it has decent range and a much higher rate of fire, but that takes a while to unlock and you still only get two extra shells before you have to reload (6 instead of 4). The SPAS is great though, my most used shotgun by far (I got the 500 kill prestige challenge with it last night).

Not sure what difference the grip makes to it though, if any, as I've used it extensively with and without and didn't notice any difference. Might be worth sticking extended mags on it instead if you've used it enough to unlock them.

I may as well link to it. He recommends using a red-dot to ensure you hit with that first shot.

Tried the Riot Shield & C4 kit? There is a video of it on Wings of Redempions channel, I can't link it as my Internet access is limited to an iPod touch at the moment so I can't link it. Maybe somebody here will.

Anyway, you take the shield, C4, scavenger and Danger Close. Secondary weapon and third perk are whatever you like. Stay in narrow areas which see high traffic and take it from there. Get your C4 down early, blow it up by double tapping reload (so you don't drop the shield) and pick up some more C4 from the guy you just killed.

Right, been playing this since launch week and despite never playing shooting games before I really love this game. I was awful for the first month but I feel like I'm holding my own nowadays, usually between 9-15 kills a match and I'm level 51, still havent even got to prestige the first time yet. Apart from the obvious get more kills, is there other ways to get your XP to go up quicker? At the moment I'm finding it going up really slowly and I'm not doing anything different to what I usually do.

Keep switching weapons and chasing challenges. I just hit 30 and because I've been chasing challenges

on 1 weapon it's slowed up. Switched weapons and suddenly big jumps are happening again.

And that stinger really is good. Nice to be able to fight back against the sky n

I'm not exactly brilliant at this game, but today have had 30-0 and 30-3 games. At first I was woeful at this game with a K/D ratio around 0.35 after four hours play. It's now over 1.0, which I'm pretty pleased with.

Not running anything amazing. Scar silenced. Scavenger Pro, Cold Blooded Pro and Ninja Pro with claymores.

Is it just an influx of new players, or have I become 1337?

Christ I hate Akimbo shotguns. It's ridiculous and the game treats it as godmode. As soon as someone on the other end of the world pulls on the right trigger you're done for.

Meh, anyway I found out that Intervention (FMJ) + M9 (Tactical Knive) + Claymore + Scavenge Pro, Lightweight Pro and Commando Pro is one helluva deadly class. I can set up two Claymores to cover certain areas and use the M9 for up close or even better, knive em' from 4 metres away. Again, ridiculous but very effective.

I think there's an influx of shit players to some extent. I'm now regularly topping a 3:1 KDS on Team Deathmatch, and I haven't been able to do that consistently since I prestiged. Then again maybe it's because I got far enough through my first prestige to have all my comfortable setups back in action though.

i thought going prestige didn't reset the gun challenges? that's what i heard but oh it certainly does.

a bit of a shame now i'll never know exactly how many kills i've got with each gun OVERALL, i hate that shit when it resets it all.

I've been using the SPAS 12 since I prestiged and it's awesome. I've since unlocked the AA12 which I used exclusively during my first run through, but I'm really happy with the SPAS at the moment. As you say, if you can land the first shot, they're dead. The only frustrating thing with the shotguns is getting caught by someone with an AR who is *just* out of the shotgun range. It looks silly as hell as you frantically fire at them only for none of the bullets to register, and you die in the incoming bullet-storm. It would be better if the shotgun bullet spread was more greatly exaggerated so that you had to land far more shots from a distance to kill, rather than the range being so massively truncated - the AA12 has a 100m killing range in reality. It would at least give you a fighting chance in those borderline encounters.

You're coming up against noobs like me Mostly, I'll only get 3 or 4 kills and generally die at least 20 times. Still, it's all fun and learning. When I started playing QLive, it was hard too but I'm consistently a top half of the table player these days even after months away.

I've not had much luck with throwing knifes myself generally. But, when I do get one, it's a great feeling! I threw one during a hectic face off. Brilliant :-) I wish we could see a replay of our kills. Maybe one day we'll get such a feature along with proper online stars on MW.
