He's put a bunch out since, he's doing them practically every day. Click Uploads then click date added at the top right. Optic challenge done is particularly interesting, some clan has been badmouthing him and set him a challenge (get a nuke while 'quickscoping'*), which he does while being angry.

*Quickscoping is getting enemies in the middle of your screen when using a sniper rifle plus sleight of hand, then zooming and shooting virtually at the same time. It's stupid.

I think that WingsOfRedemption lad is starting to take this all abit too seriously. He sounds like an idiot on that video talking about people being "a disgrace to the sniping regiment".

I've watched a lot of his videos. He has given a few details about his life in them. Some key ones include:

- He is from "The South" (N.Carolina to be specific)

- He lives on a trailer park.

- He owns a lot of guns.

I think we all know he is going to end up shooting everybody at his old school one of these days.

I lived in N.Carolina for a few years. Nice part of the world.

- He lives on a trailer park.

Trailer-home production is big business in N.Carolina. They are massive, fixed in place with all amenities, very well equiped, and form the basis for many first-time home buyers in the State. There's really no need to be snobbish about it.

- He owns a lot of guns.

You ever been to America? Most people own a lot of guns.

To be fair the people hounding him, the Optic clan seem really childish and irritating- given all their subscribers are hounding him, I can see why he got all mad and serious about it. He does in a later video say it was immature of him to be so angry about the whole thing and he's not getting involved with it anymore

I guess getting a load of hate for being good at the game and for (seemingly genuinely) trying to help people get better at the game must be annoying. I did lol when he referred to "armchair assassins", I've played similar clan-types to the guys he's referring to on Gears of War and most are right twats who genuinely think being great at the game is some sort of life-skill - which is fine if they want to believe that, but usually they start abusing anyone not in their clan for not being as good as them, or for daring to pick up a certain weapon that apparently their mum attached a label with their name to, and generally make things unpleasant for everyone else.

I really don't get this one vs one quick-scoping-sniper Halo-jumping crap. Same in Gears, very odd. Oh, yeah, and some have blu-tack stuck to the screen as mentioned earlier. Which kinda defeats the object, not that many would admit or realise that.

- He owns a lot of guns.

Which to be fair he seems to have a lot of knowledge of and respect for. Rather than some random kid with his 'gat'.

For all his guns (he seems interesting in the engineering behind them rather than some violence hungry guy) and sniping regiment comments, he still seems like a pretty nice guy. I've uploaded a few game capture videos on youtube and it is a PAIN in the arse converting and editing all of that shit- it takes HOURS. I can see why he easily gets too involved with the whole thing after putting in all that effort, and a lot of the videos are made to advise players on how he thinks is a good way to play the game for them to learn.

I like his vids. They have helped me alot as I like to play defensive as well and I have a k\d over 2.0 thanks to it. I just think he needs to stop talking shit to people who post videos if they have styles he does not approve off. He was the one who started the trash talking having a go at Hutch and the Optic Clan for no real reason. They respond back and it all gets childish and petty.

I do think he is right when he says that his style can be picked up by anyone and the quickscope stuff you have to spend years playing stupid snipe only FFA's to learn how to do it so its pointless for most people. He claims they are terrible snipers though for breaking his real life laws of sniping thus making them terrible players which is abit mental.

Glad he says he is done with the arguing as I like his videos and would rather listen to him witter on about guns whilst destroying people on the game than angry rants.

I like his chuckle. :) His videos have helped me no end even though I don't play his style at all. I thought claymores were rubbish compared to CoD4's until he showed how best to place them.

Just had a nice session where I managed to get to 2000 more kills than deaths and got an emblem for 2 headshots with one bullet. Wish I'd meant it.

Great, people have been fucking around with the game again and now half the matches I've been in tonight have some weird inertia glitch going as if everyone is on ice skates. I don't care what people do in private games, but messing up public games is seriously annoying. MS need to get the ban-hammer out and IW need to patch it up once and for all. I hope that MS are taking a serious look at what has been allowed through their QA process - I don't mind paying for Live, but when you can't get a proper game 50% of the time it's beyond a joke.

Arrrgh, 27 killstreak (PB on my gamertag, otherwise it's 32) but didn't have tactical nuke equipped. Predator, Harrier, AC130 on Afghan.

I had an amazing game on Wasteland earlier too - I had One Man Army Pro on my RPD, Terrorist and Sniper class and swapped back and forth between them, but 2 or 3 kills in, an enemy calls in a care package, I heard the noise it makes and turned out he was very nearby facing the same direction as me but in front of me, so I killed him and waited for his care package. It turned out to be a Pave Low. Switched back to Terrorist class (for Danger Close Pro), called in Pave Low and the kills an enemy team's care package contributed towards my killstreak rewards! So I got a Predator, Harrier and Pave Low almost straight away. Got to about 20 kills before dying and my 2nd Pave Low was called in. They still didn't switch to a class with a Stinger in it either. I can only imagine how pissed off that care package guy must have been lmfao!

I played FFA against randoms for 10 hours straight yesterday (yes I have Xbox claw hands today, thanks) and didn't see this "skating" glitch once - connection issues at your end maybe? Is your NAT set to Open?

How do you reset the NAT settings, btw? I don't seem to be having any problems after my connection decided to switch from Open to Moderate, but I guess it's only a matter of time before it decides to go to Strict.

I've already reset the router and it's done nothing.

Try system settings in the 360 and test xbox live connection. Whenever my NAT was changed to Strict doing the tests for whatever reason reset it to open.

Nothing to do with my connection (or the friend I was playing with for 5 hours), it's another hacked/modded config file glitch along the line of the infinite ammo one. It's caused by someone with a modded 360 editing a game config file, which is transferred to all clients in any online public game that the hacker ends up hosting. When the 'infected' users go on to host another game, I believe it passes on to all the clients, who in turn can then pass it on themselves if they become host of a subsequent game. You have to clear the cache on your 360 to be free of it. Check out the video below. How this hacking has gotten past MS QA twice is yet to be answered.

Presumably because the same people will often be selected as host it doesn't spread as badly as it would if everyone's connections were equal - if you have a slow connection and leave, the chances of being picked as host of the next game you play are low, so the glitch doesn't follow you about.

Christ. :(

How do you clear your cache? Just so I'm prepared, ta.

System Settings > Memory > Highlight HDD and Press 'Y', then select the 'Clear Cache' option from the menu.

Me and Mr Furious both ended up 'infected', because after he quit one game we were in, it host migrated, but the glitch continued, then I left and it host-migrated again, so we'd obviously both picked it up in the previous game we'd experienced it in, and then gone on to host and pass it on ourselves. After we'd both cleared the cache it didn't occur again, so we were maybe just unlucky.

Sorry for not inviting you in last night, I saw you online late on. Next time you're on and fancy a game let me know :coffee:

No problem mate. If I'm on mercenary TDM I'm always up for an invite. If I'm on TDM it's usually with the crew which you are always more than welcome to join. They're a good bunch.

Thanks. Pain in the arse it is. Does clearing the cache have any downside? Do you lose anything you don't want to etc?

It just clears any mandatory game updates you've previously downloaded (so when you reload MW2 the patch is re-applied). I think the 360 only has a cache for 5 game updates anyway, so you will sometime find when playing an older game in your collection that a patch you previously downloaded is required again, because it's been overwritten at some point in the past.

If you have a game that was updated to fix offline stuff it's worth remembering the next time you play it and you're offline, because you'll need to go online to get the patch.

Cool, I'll most likely catch up with you over the weekend then.

Trying to get a game going with a party of 3+ has become a nightmare - is it just us ?

It's the old broken party system from MW (in fact the original Beta was just as bad). It's funny how during the two years MW2 was in development, other than host migration, nothing seems to have been improved or fixed on the party/lobby/net-code side of things. We get a proper mix of smooth-as-silk and latent-as-anything games. The silly thing is, almost no-one in the really latent games has a 'good' connection rating, so it looks like straight-up duff host-selection rather than it deciding to give a couple of US-based players host over 10 UK-based players.

Although it's frustrating at times, I completely forgive it because the game itself is pure genius.

Ah yeah but I've been playing since launch - but for the last 3 nights it has been horrific - we've spent up to 30 minutes trying to get 5/6 of us into a game of TDM together; We'll get into a lobby then people start dropping and we've heard others saying "such & such has dropped everybody pull back" so figure it's not just us ??
