Yeah, having killstreak rewards tied to classes would be a lot better.

I am constantly running UAV lately because I am literally the only person in my games that uses it, and it improves the team's chances immensely. Even terrible players seem to have care package as their first killstreak reward, it's beginning to really annoy me :)

Yeah I've been finding this for the last few weeks - I almost always have UAV selected because no-one else does. It's very frustrating, then you finally get someone else on your side who has it, and he puts it on 5 seconds after you've deployed yours. I know it increases the scanning rate, but such a waste.

Um, yes, but why you want added bullet penetration for a weak attachment that has almost no bullet penetration in the first place I can't quite fathom. Obviously I've not tested it but I can't see FMJs making any change beyond negligible.

They need to sort out what games you join. I just got dumped into a game of domination where our team had no bases and were 100 points down.

Then I got nuked before I even saw someone to kill.

no, thats the beauty of MW2. It will always fill up rooms, making the old bane of quitters a thing of the past. Although if it puts you into a game that is already started that game shouldnt count as a loss for you

Just a curiosity more than anything. I dont think the Masterkey is weak though, in fact, its quite the opposite.

I dunno, I've spawned into games with no hope of winning, AC130s circling above, and especially recently a load of sub level 30s on my team with ridiculous negative scores. Takes a little of the fun out of it when you're punished the second you start a game... Which has been going on for 7 minutes already. I totally agree about it not counting as a loss for you, so that might take the edge off my frustration.

It's either that, or the people who kick in the UAV seconds after the other team jams the radar. I just don't understand.

Quick I've got a killstreak bonus, deploy it!!!

Anyone understand or know the logic for the game not allowing you to choose which killstreak bonus you deploy when you have more than one? I sometimes get UAV, and Predator and Emergency Airdrop without having chance to deploy them, and I'd like to put the UAV out before deciding where/when to call in the Airdrop, but the game forces me to use them in reverse order to which they were earned. I can see why you might want to instantly call in a Pave Low or Airstrike if you're in danger of being over-run without having to deploy another couple of bonuses first, but it seems like bad design to prevent Up/Down on the D-pad being used to cycle through the bonuses before hitting Right to use it.

You are more likely to spawn into those games though. Its when a team is taking a kicking and there is Air Support pounding on them that somebody is likely to ragequit. It sucks that you might spawn into one of those games, but its the lesser evil. If you had to chose between an outside chance of spawning into a shite game when you join a new lobby or having games which you are winning empty out and die because nobody is allowed to replace the players who leave, what would you go for?

Well I'd rather spawn into games and make my own way into the action rather than being dumped right in the middle of it. At least then I've got a chance to get a foot in before the rape starts. It might just be me, but I don't expect to spawn into enemy fire and pavelows.

The spawning is really different to CoD4 in that it spawns you close to your team every time in line with keeping the teams together and encouraging team work. I'd suggest in that situation to have a stinger class on cold blooded always handy. You're practically invincible to all air support, turrets and thermal sensors on top. The number of people who die to a chopper gunner then respawn as the same non cold-blooded class is stupid. In conclusion people are idiots.

I've been thinking about it, and two good teams facing each other would probably have more use for the air strikes and turrets than anything else. The most powerful killstreaks between two sides that know what they're doing would be the UAV and jammer, followed by the predator and airstrikes, followed finally by the air support which is incredibly easy to take down. Usefulness would be almost the complete opposite of the order they're in, Nuke excepted.

I'm sure that in one of those 'damage per gun' posts you've posted, that the MasterKey attachment does more damage than anyother shotgun, but is the least accurate.

Might be wrong though, and I can't be arses to search through the posts to check.

You feel frustrated when you are running cold blooded, ninja and a silenced weapon and people who have stopping power and some great big LMG which they fire indiscriminately insist on standing right on top of you. I have been using cold blooded more and more as time goes by. I have been killed loads because of other people who are detectable in my proximity. Its unavoidable, but it is annoying as hell when you get nailed by a predator because of your team mates deciding to stand with you at all times.

Never used a masterkey. How many shots do you get and how quick does it fire? The second is the biggest factor, it's why I use the AA-12 and the M1014 ahead of anything else; it doesn't matter so much if your first shot misses because the second one comes so quickly.

Edit - looks about the same as the SPAS 12 in terms of fire rate, but requiring 2 shots a lot of the time. I'll give it a go I guess.

Interesting use of killstreaks by Wings of Redemption in his latest video - UAV Jammer followed by Predator. If you can get a kill in the 30 seconds the jammer is up for, they won't see the predator coming and you're much more likely to get a triple kill from it.

the real benefit of the master key is being able to also bring a stinger for air or a pistol fro quickswap. It essentially gives you 2 weapons. Its also a much quicker switch than changing to a shotgun, making it really useful for maps where you run in and out of alleys and buildings (favela, skid row)

I get an average of about 6 or more friend requests from total strangers all around the world on PSN pretty much every week since I've owned it- its probably because I had a very short and generic name for my PSN. I just ignore most but its annoying when they pile up

I'll ignore any friends request that comes without a message. If it comes with a message (ie, actually letting me know who they are) then I'll probably accept.

I have accepted some and then deleted them a week or two later if I havent played any games with them. Apologies if any rllmuk folk are victims of that. :hmm:

I'm so shit at single player. Bang, bang, bang! Getting hit from all sides in the current level. Do enemies respawn out of a cupboard somewhere as usual, or have they changed it?

Honestly, every Call of Duty game just leaves me a nervous wreck. I don't know why I bother. I can die hundreds of times in Halo, and always manage to grit my teeth and find a way through. But death in COD always irritates me, and feels slightly unfair in comparison.

Had one of the most maddening spawns today - now 50 Kills away from finally having a 1.0 KD ratio (8000 or so kills into the game... Taken me a long time as I'd never played an online shooter before - it has taken me a hella long time to vaguely 'get' how to play) so trying to die as little as possible. There I was 9 - 1 on airport defending C. Finally get overwhelmed as the entire other team comes at me. I spawned 5 times in a row on top of them at C. Not with tactical insertion mind you, the second I died I respawned directly in front of the person who just shot me at c die instantly respawned same point again. Most annoying and never had it happen like that before. Still I then went on a rage fuelled session to be MVP so no harm done I guess... But they really should sort the spawns out.

Dropped into Mercenary TDM's today, none of my regular group have been online, had three games in a row where the other team got Chopper Gunner out of a care package. Went into FFA for a bit. Had Care Package and Sentry Gun. They are, er, "interesting" to drop and claim in FFA games arent they?

I popped a claymore down next to a tactical insertion today so the guy spawned into it. Cheap, but it was pretty funny.

Later in the game someone TI'd in the same place, so I got my scavenge on and set up two more, a bit further away this time so the guy had a chance to see what was about to happen - far enough away to not go off, but close enough together so they'd both explode if shot. I stayed local so I could watch what happened.

He backed out.
