I've never managed to get my wins higher than my looses though. I got it down to 15 behind, but now it's something stupid like 80 behind.

I dread to think what mine is. I play so much FFA that I couldnt give a shit about my wins vs losses. In games where you have 7/8 chance to lose (assuming everything is equal of course) then its generally just a case of trying to kill people more than they kill you.

There's really nothing wrong with that, it's just ground war domination on Rust. They had Headquarters on Shipment in CoD4, it's hardly like you cheated in any way. Streak is a streak.

Now, infinite ammo on the other hand...

Actually, glitching was quite rare in CoD4, which I found rather odd given there were far more glitches that were far easier to do. It was all hush hush, wheras Youtube is full of tutorials and shit for MW2.

There will always be clans that will at least manage to party up and level their characters through that method, but if it's only done in numbers like we saw in CoD4 then personally i'd be happy to start again and see the leader boards show a more truthful representation of the players rather than a bragging space for glitchers.

Thankfully I have never seen this glitch. Its the sort of shit that would just make me turn the game off. IW need to patch this out ASAP.

Id never play the game again if they reset my XP. Punishing me (level 61/55 hours) because some tosser has got his way to prestige 10 by cheating really isnt the way to handle this. They should punish the fuckers who are cheating though, they have a record of all the stats and they certainly have the money to employ staff to go through those records. This should extend to the people stupid enough to put their gamertag on Youtube of them cheating.

I'm about 12 levels away from Prestiging for the 2nd time. I've been in some glitch games and find it bloody annoying that I'm playing against people who are cheating, in fact, I've been considering getting rid of the game because I can just see it becoming more and more pointless to play properly. I'd have no problem with IW resetting the servers nor with castrating the cheaters.

Tricky one. I’m sure the majority of the millions of players are legit and don’t go for glitches and exploits so you’re punishing everyone for the actions of the few. On the other hand I’ve had so much fun levelling up and unlocking stuff I probably wouldn’t mind doing it again.

Could they just roll the stats back a couple of days to before all this started?

The infinite ammo hack is great fun, seriously. You can lock onto an AC-130 with any rocket launcher and fire off 5 rockets in 2 seconds, guaranteed to take it out. It's ace, and it's only possible using the private match XP glitch right now, so as soon as they patch that out then it'll be dead. Alas.

If it was just a normal game type it'd be hugely popular but instead it'll get patched out. The only thing the current glitches and hacks are allowing are things that PC gamers have had forever in the form of dedicated servers, frankly I'm actually quite glad to see some of it coming to consoles, even if it's only temporary. Gun game and aim_ maps were the highlight of the CS modding scene IMO.

I can understand it, if all you ever do is play MW2 then I imagine that these sort of things keep the experience fresh.

You're on my friends list and you seem to have played it a fair amount. Surely you want to try out different perk arrangements so you can add a bit of variety into your games? When you hit on a new equipment/perk arrangement that tickles your fancy it can open up totally new approaches to the same old maps. You're missing out ZOK!

Personally I've just starting using a "stealthy sprinter" class, which is great for getting behind an entire team and stabbing them up. P90 with silencer, USP with knife, Marathon, Stopping Power and Ninja. You can sprint around the flanks silently and quietly take out stragglers facing the wrong way. Works great on High Rise if you can get into the 'enemy' building.

Those Wings of Redemption videos are really good. After watching the video about levelling up I tried out one of the SMGs because I had most of the attachments for most of the Assault Rifles and in my previous game chose Hardline as my second perk and swapped out one of my killstreaks for the Emergency Airdrop. My score for that game ended up as 49-5.

The Chopper Gunner got most of my kills since Wasteland is such an open map and Predator missiles, Harrier strikes and an AC-130 helped out . I just couldn't believe how I managed to rack up so many kills, especially when I had akimbo MP5Ks with Rapid Fire. They weren't the most accurate of weapons.

Every 2nd / 3rd game this arvo's been an unlimited ammo mashup. 'Tis fun for a couple of rounds. Wasn't expecting it the first time and I think my subwoofer's blown.

Is it really that bad? I play for an hour a night most nights and had only ever met 1 Javelin glitcher and last night I finally ended up in a lobby where they were trying to do that stupid XP in private matches thing.

Surely the latest dicking around can't be infectious and even if it is, surely not that many 'casual' players will be affected?

I'm not disagreeing that variety is fun, but like I said I don't play a huge amount - I'm only up to level 34/35 or something (is there anywhere I can look at this online?). Call it masochism, but I want to do all the challenges on the FAMAS before I move off it...and I'm not bored of the maps doing it the way I'm doing!

What I really want to do though is play some of the two player challenges online, but I need to find my headset.

Glitched lobbies aren't cheating. There's no hacks, they don't have an advantage over you. It's just a different setup on a different map.

Seriously, I really don't see the problem with being able to create your own lobbies. The infinite ammo glitch is totally fucked up, but the lobby creation is actually quite fun. I wish IW made a "player-chosen" playlist or something, where hosts could set up their own games. That'd add so much longevity to the game.

Third person team tactical is the most common glitch playlist. That and domination. If you want a glitch game keep joining those playlists.

Not really, it's just the way the glitch works. Most people want domination, because you get longer games. You can turn hardcore on in a glitched lobby without having to put it in a hardcore playlist, so nobody actually bothers putting it there.

Not really it makes it harder for people on opposing teams to nuke boost etc.

If you don't wanna talk to your non-friend team mates then mute them, it only takes a second to do so from the scoreboard?

Cant agree there. If you want to boost nuke you can still private chat or mute everybody who isnt on your friends list.
