Last night I played so badly that it stopped being funny. Not down to lag either, I was just shit. Everthing that could go wrong went wrong. I've put it down to being tired and emotional and I'm going to spend more time with Assassin's Creed 2 and New Super Mario Bros.

There seems to be a big part of online play missing for me in the team deathmatch, which is the team bit. With people cooperating, right mix of squads, covering each other and so on I'd get a lot more out of it

TDM isn't a particularly fun mode at all really. No real team work required and it isn't very satisfying - Demolition or Sabotage (which is basically rugby) are my favourites, and the new version of HQ is quite good too - much better than 4's version, they fixed the rules to be much more sensible.

I had hoped they would have created more new game modes though, instead of a plethora of playlists with different mixtures of games or settings.

Is there a Rllmuk group for dire players? I'm pretty bad most of the time. It would be nice to join other players of a similar skill level so that I am not constantly dying unannounced from a headshot far away, or getting quarter-second glimpses of enemies as they rush me with a knife.

If there is interest, I can set up a topic in the COD folder for lower-level players to have fun and practice their skills.

Yeah that's true, it's fun if you just want a quick half hour blast at 3am or something, especially as at the moment the matchmaking seems to have trouble finding me a game in any other mode if I'm not with a party - I think it's because I'm in france with a pretty crap connection, but my 360 is set to the UK, so the matchmaking thinks I'm in the UK and therefore can't find many games with low ping, I dunno.

I'm with Timmo on that - TDM is what you make it. I play it pretty much exclusively and usually have lots of fun, it was just last night was awful. You can get all kinds of nice things happening on TDM. Sometimes you'll drop in to a match vs. a clan who murdering your team and it can be fun trying to help turn things round, figure out what they're up to and pull together with your team. Yeah sometimes it's shit (last night the first three games I joined were in progress and had Nukes go off - I thought it was some new glitch) but you can always jump out and find another server.

Last night was atrocious for lag - however we still managed to win against several teams when we were all on 2 bars. That's a massive fail on their part.

And I shot down a chopper with a nube tube. B)

Even though it was horribly unpayable and I was tired (and a bit shit), it was still enormous fun. I bloody love this game.

Smart matchmaking. ;)

The private match XP glitch isn't new, it's how the LE2 guys have 1k+ killstreaks, they're still very sad little boys though.

I'm going to be doing some private match S&D boosting soon I think, if anyone is interested. I'm pretty sure I know how to get the private match XP glitch working.

What's your NAT status? Mine changed from Open to Strick for some reason about a week ago. Once I got that sorted it was green bars all the way.

My NAT status has been open since day 1, but the lag over the last few days has been terrible. Not sure if it's people playing via oversubscribed ISP's, or more people having to share their internet connections with other family members in the run-up to Christmas (maybe loads of shopping and Youtube/Facebook on the side). I just wish the matchmaking was more robust or let you choose how it filters. I'd rather wait 2 minutes for a good match than consistently get shit matches in 30 seconds.

I'm going to be doing some private match S&D boosting soon I think, if anyone is interested. I'm pretty sure I know how to get the private match XP glitch working.

Why bother? Filthy booster ;)

Now, im all for getting my rank up as much as possible and will fairly soon be moving onto 3rd prestige but i like to do this (and this may be a strange concept to some) by playing game modes i enjoy with my friends and letting my xp build up accordingly.

Tampering with the matchmaking system to repeatedly kill someone over and over again to get your rank up is pathetic to a degree i can barely comprehend!

Only just started with the multiplayer on this; is it supposed to be this difficult to get a match? It's been searching in the team deathmatch list for about ten minutes.

Quit out and go in again, it seems to do that sometimes for me and I have open NAT.

They're sad little boys for having killstreaks in the 1000s.

Any game type. Respawns on. Unlimited time/score. Two xboxs, two TVs, one LE2 account, one trial account. Kill it over and over and over. Leave TV on, go to bed, repeat for several days. This is how they did it, The reason why their ratios aren't that high is because when they try and play a normal game they simply don't know how to. I ended up in a game with some of the MAFiA guys last week, again, all high prestiges who boost and they were very average players.

I used to play a lot of MMOs, I have a very addictive personality, it's a terrible character flaw but it's there, I just want to get to 10 as quickly as possible so that I can really enjoy the game. Sure, I love playing fun gametypes with my freinds, but that isn't getting me anywhere fast.
