Thats assuming you actually have to see someone to kill them with a ugl, you just fire it at a random corner and you might get a kill even if you had no idea there was anyone there.

You could do that with a thumper, or the first launcher. Are they also 'noob tubes' for that reason? You haven't really addressed my point.

On the other hand, I love claymores too. The first thing I do when I spawn is lay me a claymore behind something. If I get a kill, it's pure luck (except for the one I always put in the cockpit of the crashed plane on Afghan). That's what I call 'noob' play.

Into the house in Estate will often get a kill. Can do it from a good distance away too

For the first time ever last night I actually spent some time in the house on Estate. It's fucking terrifying, with grenades and n00b tubes exploding around your ears and bullets zinging in from every angle. I ended up cowering in the bathroom.

The number of people whinging about stuff has made me mute anyone I don't know the second they open their mouth, regardless of what they say. Constant complaing is more annoying than singing children or overly excited Americans. It's amazing how much it brings out the inner moaning cunt in people.

The camping thing is so weird. If someone is succesfully "camping" and killing you then it's your own fucking fault for not countering it. I had someone complain about camping about twenty seconds into a game the other day. I think they just mean "someone who killed me while standing still".

Its usually on an objective type game as well, with the other team protecting a site. i.e. exactly what they're supposed to be doing. The ironic thing is that if they left that defence point and hunted the other team down they'd be "fucking spawn killers".

I had a game of Team Deathmatch today in which I most definately camped. Defended one building until I got a pavelow. Thing is, 2 guys just kept coming back for revenge and I kept picking em off again and again. In the lobby they were screaming at me for being a camper, but when i see people like that I do the exact opposite to them. Rather than keep assaulting a guy who has the drop on you and is dug in, mark that spot on the map as occupied and find another way around.

this... It's impossible to camp a spot 100%, there are always mutliple ways in or tactics that can kill you anywhere...

If people had 2 brain cells to rub together they'd figure it out and kill you, or as you say leave that area well alone.

Head into the first room from the main door, lay down on the floor by the fireplace, behind the logs and you'll be amazed how many people don't look there and you can just pick them off - I use a silencer, and ninjapro and cold blood pro too, so this helps. I managed a 14 kill run using this the other night.

Here's a foible I've found with MW2. I haven't got my headset to hand, so I only hear through the speakers. Also, I mostly only play FFA. And the only voices I ever hear through the speakers, when I do, are either Mancunians or Scousers.

Have a got a filter on?

You are the reason I always, always, smash the window overlooking the ravine and leap across when I make my entrance.

Oh man, finally gave One Man Army a good try. My new ultimate survival class:

SCAR with silencer

Stopping Power

One Man Army

Ninja

Claymore

2 x flash

The claymores are so much better than I thought, getting so many kills with them it's crazy. Cover a couple of angles with them and watch them rack up. OMA pro only takes 3 seconds I think. It's madness.

Cool, thanks.

I think Last Stand Pro should allow you to get up if you get a kill when you're down. I understand it would be unfair for it to allow you to get up if you survive the 30 seconds like the Final Stand Death Streak, but I've got a couple of kills when I've been downed before and it'd be a nice reward.

Man, I just went 21-0 with it, and seven of those must have been claymore kills. Enemy UAV going up is music to my ears, I know where they're coming from and they've got red-vision making them yet more susceptible. Can't believe I never used claymores in 4 or this before.

Haha, I'll have to try it. With that it mind, is a silencer the best use of add-on? Surely you want to tempt people to your position?

Not necessarily. They might throw in a noob tube/semtex/grenade before being surprised by your clay mores. You want to do it in an area where there might be some foot traffic going past and the rest of the team doesn't know whats going on so a slilencer is pretty good for holding an area that way.

Well, a silencer is always useful, but given the other attachment choices I'd be tempted to swap it out for a sight or M203 with the claymore/scavenger loadout.

If I'm holed up in a room with a claymore covering the entrances, I'm actually going to want people to come for my back as I take pot-shots out of the window. It's no good people not knowing you're there or your traps will go untripped!
