Flares affect the Javelin, for a pure anti-air class the best choice is still a Stinger, the Javelin is more for target lockon or anti-air at a pinch. I thought the same originally but after testing, no dice.

Just report everyone using the javelin glitch, it's under tampering in the menu, should get them a 24 hour ban, helps me sleep at night. ;)

Fucking red bar. Five games in a row I was dropped into games in progress (where my team were losing) AND everyone had four greens and I had one red. The only thing I can do is try to keep my k/d low basically by hiding and being a sneaky bastard.

Had a few really good games full of Australians yesterday. Everyone had green bars. If we get the same group on again, I'll shoot you an invite if you're on next time. They were playing hardcore, which I never usually play, but I liked it better than the normal mode.

I've been using the Iranian flag in conjunction with the terrorist ski mask emblem in the hope of getting some abuse from Americans, but it hasn't really worked. I've changed it to 'Matyr' for the time being, I'll get them angry yet!

Likewise if I get an all green and you are on I'll drop you an invite. Hardcore is becoming more tempting but I find that with bad lag it's a nightmare as it really is about skill and speed.

Also, I've taken to using the ACR with silencer on most maps and I'm doing well - even when trapped with the dreaded red bar.

However, I'm teaming it up with a pistol without silencer so that I can shoot off a few rounds, appear on the map and watch the enemy come to me - then rip them up with the silenced ACR. Works a treat.

Oh and the .50 cal Barrat Sniper Rifle really should kill with one hit. That fucker blows legs/arms off in the real world. Yet, yesterday I hit a guy square in the head (may have been neck) and he didn't go down. I was gutted :(

It kills anywhere in 1 shot with stopping power, without, less so. All the sniper rifles do the same damage. Balancing ahoy.

It really is good, isnt it? When I was a bit more alert a couple of hours ago I was regularly getting 7-10 kill streaks with it. Its a beast with a red dot or holographic sight, not so sure about the ACOG, it seems to take too long to snap to the shoulder with it, and I wasnt getting as much joy as I was with the other sights or even the iron sight. That might be down to the fact that I didnt unlock it until 1:30am and tiredness had set in somewhat and dulled my reaction times.

The gun is awesome though. I'm not usually a fan of losing the mobility that comes with taking a LMG, but the reload times arent crippling with this gun and with stopping power on, bursts of one and two rounds seemed to kill with satisfying regularity. Its as accurate as fuck too, so that second shot doesnt go whistling harmlessly over the targets head if I keep the trigger squeezed. I figure this gun might be awesome with FMJ equipped when I unlock it. I can live with the iron sights too, so plenty of options with Bling.

Oh good call, I hadn't touched LMGs in MW2 yet, the reload times generally put me off but this is about as quick as the ACR to reload. I've gone with a grip and silencer (iron sights are fine) along with Cold Blooded and Ninja in TDM tonight and just massacred dudes.

One of the first round with it was Invasion, enemy had UAVs online holding the embassy in the north of the map. There's a little ladder round the side that gets you up and in and they didn't clock me thanks to Cold Blooded. Once up I found four of them in a nice row along the upstairs corridor. LMGs are made for moments like that, I actually paused briefly to take in the sheer deliciousness of the moment. Pretty sure I got a quadruple kill, hard to tell though as it just says multikill above two kills and I can't see it tracked in the leaderboard. Finished the round 30-1, absolute beast of a gun.

Definitely. They should also make it so you have to eat.

I'm actually being serious. It fires a massive round compared to the other rounds for the other rifles and should be a one hit - one kill weapon. Good mate of mine is in the spec forces and told me exactly what one of them will do to someone even hit in the arm or leg...not pleasant. Think Robocop ;)

Multikill starts at four doesnt it? I just got a triple kill with a Predator missile and I am sure it said "triple" instead of "multi" on the UI.

I just heard that you can press the fire button when controlling a Predator and it causes the missile to fire its afterburner and makes its splash damage bigger when it lands. Can anybody confirm or deny this? I cant be arsed to log in to test it now.
