Laggy fucking mess this afternoon as well, cover is completely worthless because you get 'dragged back' whenever someone fires at you. Also watching sniper bullets go THROUGH people in killcams and do nothing. Thanks IW!

Killed a guy with martyrdom on a staircase, ran up the stairs to get away from him, luckily the grenade flew up the stairs and killed me anyway.

It's kind of worrying/broken how well akimbo 1887s + marathon + lightweight works on almost every map. I think a made a few people rage quit today.

Aye, I tend to get better results with my akimbo build than any other (I use P90's, I have not unlocked 1887's yet, plus I get the benefit of more range and not being utterly fucked if I miss)

Its nuts, I am trying to play the classic move - cover - fire - move - cover - fire style, but running around like a loon with two P90's or a tactical knife yields better results. Still, its a level playing field and the same options are available to all. You can play ripper at level 4 if I recall. It will probably be Christmas by the time anybody figures out how to counter it, and by then there will be a few hundred thousand new players who got the game from Santa to replace them as cannon fodder.

I've barely died by ripper, just stay around your team-mates.

OK i would like to submit myself for most shameful death. I'm playing on Favella, I've just got my missile strike but... fuck there's no-one out in the open. Suddenly I see someone - I try to get him but he's run into a building. Damm. I then see smoke all around me - it was my building. then he stabs me.

Ah, something to look forward to between all the dual-wielding shotguns, then.

To be honest I'm finding MW2's multiplayer to be a bit... gimmicky, I suppose. It's hard to put my finger on why exactly, but I often feel a bit cheated when killed playing this whilst the Bad Company 2 Beta, in which you can go down really fast, just makes me want to be more careful.

By the way if anyone wants to add me i'd be very grateful, I don't know many people online (bar Keraig and Pants from here), and i'm frankly sick of playing with 14 year olds called 'MC Sniper' or 'LOLKILLZ'. Some sort of actual teamwork in games with nice people would be aces. 360 tag spazm0nk3y

I played an hour of cod4 yesterday, its definately slower due to the lack of marathon perk and dual wield, but its absolutely full of nade spamming and every game turns into one team stuck in a corner getting spawn raped for 10 minutes with very little chance of escaping.

MW2 is infinately better, but its a real shame about a few things they've done to arcade the whole thing up. Dual wielding was a bad idea in halo2, so why they thought to include it here is mental.

Encouraging people to run everywhere goes against what made cod so great int he first place.

I thought BF1943 was incredible and i put loads of time into it. Here's hoping BC2 lives up and I have 2 great games to play

Shepherd was just involved in a helicopter crash. He's remarkably agile for somebody who just nearly died. Price and Soap who just fell into some water look like they were the ones in the crash. And Shepherd's a General who's probably never seen real action for 20 years!

Yay! I got complained at for dual wielding P90's and running around like a nutter.

I was trapped in a game with a bunch of people who like sitting in foliage with a heartbeat sensor and waiting for somebody to walk by before shooting them in the back. After about three rounds of this I got bored and switched to the akimbo build. From finishing 3rd/4th every time, I won quite easily. I think I was 8 or 9 kills clear when I ended the game. It was nice to see the game end with a kill rather than the clock ticking down too. :)

Oh, and Blue Tiger camo on the P90 now. 90% of the headshots to unlock that are with steady aim/akimbo. Crazy, as I have put more time into the M4, SCAR, FAMAS and M16 than I have with the P90.

I think the next challenge is to unlock extended mags on the AA12 shotgun. Up to about 85 kills with it at the moment. Its fucking great if you have the Scavenger perk.

DW and Ripper are fine. They shine in FFA games and possibly Mercenary Team Deathmatch where each "team" is a collection of individuals playing lone wolf rather than a group of people working together. When people do stick together, DW/Ripper is pretty much cannon fodder. Its an excellent one on one playstyle, but thats about it. Its certainly no worse than people keeping their crosshairs on points A, B & C in objective based games like Domination to boost their K/D ratio rather than actually trying to complete the objective.

Javelin is clearly a glitch. Infinity Ward have already said it will be patched out, havent they? Its odd though, like a Nuke, I still havent seen it. Almost everybody on my friends list have (and only a couple of us actually read gaming forums, so they havent heard about it from there) but the closest I have came is looking on Youtube. I have probably put ten hours into the game in the last three days too, so its not as if I havent been online.

Oh, and don't call me Shirley. ;)

Oh i just had a totally ace game in estate. First few seconds starting from the main house, slid down the embankment in front of the glass house and kept to the left. All of a sudden, half their team comes out the door of the barn in a massive bundle and i hit the deck and just mow them down. It was seriously like one of those movies where the badguys are alerted and come running out of their barracks only to be cutdown by the hero's massive throbbing gun. Snuck round the back, executed a few snipers and in under a minute i'd killed their whole team single handedly. Dropped the harrier, predator missile devastates them again just as they've all spawned and i die a happy man sat at my predator laptop with my harrier racking up a few more kills.
