Modern Warfare 2

This game is just fucking ridiculous tonight, I just put half a clip into a guy and he killed me, the killcam shows me not even firing my gun, the kicker being I was the fucking host. I'm barely even going 2:1 tonight because I straight up can't get any streaks, fucking ridiculous.

Just shot a guy 5 times in the head with a silenced SCAR and he had enough time to work out where the shots were coming from and kill me. I don't even know what to say.

I hear that. I was in a TDM game earlier on where 5/6 players on my side had 1 red bar.

IW are testing and preparing to roll out a patch to fix the Javelin glitch, probably shouldn't mention it can be triggered by throwing knives and setoff an AT4 as well. Shame they don't bother patching any of the map glitches, or anything in CoD4 at all ever. Or the new, 'smart' modded controllers. I can only assume someone at IW got killed by a javelin ripper and didn't like it.

Tweet from the head of whoreallycares in some XBL division of MS also mentioned that accounts caught using the glitch would be suspended. Somebody is pissed it would seem.

I found a way to get the game to display [iW] as your clan tag. I hope they don't suspend me.

It took a few lobby's, but we eventually found a group that wasn't really laggy, but yeah.. it seems to have been pretty bad recently.

You really have to keep on top of this game don't you? I hadn't played it online since Wed the other week, and last night I had my worst games to date. I was getting killed 18-25 time per game, even though I don't kill that many people, I've never died that much. Took me 4 or 5 games to get back to my normal average self.

Is it too much to ask to join a game which isnt already in progress? Three FFA games in a row I have joined where the bloke winning already has 800-1000 points before I connect!

Don't quit out at the end of the round? I like joining a round halfway though, it's a bit of a warmup before your first full game. More fundamental than that it's one of the best things about MW, you can quit out if it's too laggy/you get a phone call/your house burns down and you don't get penalised and crucially neither does your team as it generally slots someone else in. Core gameplay aside its that and the killcam that make MW special.

Doesn't it count as a loss if you quit out?

I dont quit out of the round. The first game I joined was mid session, half the room were on two yellow bars and the guy who appeared to be hosting (well, he had four bars) had an Australian accent. I quit in the lobby to find a better connection when the game ended.

The second game was American hosted. Everybody talking on mic sounded like Boomhauer from King of the Hill.

Again, I quit in the lobby after the round ended to look for a more local connection.

The third game? Well, I joined and there was a harrier in the sky and the guy winning had 950 points. I did quit that one within two seconds of joining through frustration.

Doesn't it count as a loss if you quit out?

It does; but like K/D ratio, its an imaginary number. Who cares about imaginary numbers?

There should definitely be an option to opt out of joining a game in progress. It can be fun jumping into a game, hitting a streak and pulling your team into the lead but last night I joined a game with about a minute to go and 700 points to make up.

Who cares? I have to quit out now and again simply because sometimes my entire party doesn't make it into the game or its unplayably laggy (like teleporting everytime you move). Win ratio is still 1.10 or so somehow- we must just win a lot when we actually play

Been enjoying Hardcore TDM, a nice change of pace from the hectic main games. Also means you have to up your game and hearing as sound becomes so important as shooting teammates by accident means you get a negative score.

I had a magnificent match on Derailed last night it was tight match with both teams really working together and moving around the map, the match was close with a min left, then i got a care package so went off somewhere quiet to collect it and got a stealth bomber, only problem was we needed a UAV so i could pinpoint the enemy team, luckily one of our team got one and i sent the stealth bomber their way.

Got a triple kill and won the match. :D

Imaginary?

I think he would have been better off saying "meaningless". It does show as a loss, but it's just a number that has no impact on anything other than leaderboards. Which is good and bad, because it's nice to be able to quit with the only thing it affects being your stats and the fact that you earn none of the bonus XP you'd get for finishing a game, but at the same time it does make it a bit easy for cunts to quit out when things aren't going their way.

Imaginary/meaningless, its all semantics isnt it?

I guess I am saying what Massive Invisible Dog is saying though. Ragequitting is always annoying, I dont like it when people do that. The only time I really leave games is if I am playing on my own and get an invite from a friend.

So free for all. It's a little bit easy sometimes isn't it? I don't play it much but just played three games. First one, 30-6. Then, 30-4. Third game, 30-0. (KS setup is UAV, Harrier, Pave Low). My heart was pounding coming up to the end of the last game. Never managed that before. Yay me!

Anyway, I'm only a level 50 so it's not like I'm playing it a ridiculous amount, and I know I'm not as good as quite a few people I play with regularly. It just seems all the worst players congregate in this game type.

Still... THIRTY-ZERO.

Controllers that have been physically altered to have an auto-repeat fire function. So you can use single shot weapons which have a higher accuracy and very little recoil as if they were an automatic weapon.

Blimey. Autofire switches! Not had those since SNES days!

We had a guy doing the Javelin glitch and what pissed me off was the fact I would see him running at four of my team mates, then I would try to kill him before he got there but failed and I basically killed four of my own guys........ :(
