There was some moron on this morning when I was playing MTDM who just kept firing at his own teammates We drew the match in the end but he didn't help matters with 11 deaths no assists and no kills. Every time I spawned near him I had to run away so he didn't give away my position. Bloody cunt. Needless to say I left bad feedback.

We had that last night on PSN- some dude on our team kept following us and firing his gun at thin air- leading his friends on the other team to us all the time

Was playing mercenary death match last night against a ripper class with the knife

It is an exceptionally annoying class and the guy was making mince meat out of us- thank God there was only one of them

What I could not understand, he was quicker than me every single time with knife. I have commando, would the knife/pistol melee attachment make a difference?

Oh my word - it's ALL about being able to use your knife when your on Last Stand. I didn't realise you could do it, just thought you could shoot with the pistol, but if someone's over you gloating and goes in for the kill shot up close (as so many people i've played against do) it lacks the stopping power. SHAZAM not when I knife them. I have taken so many kills in the last few games by doing this. Obviously it's best not to die at all, but wow it makes me feel better when I stick the knife in as they come toward me to gloat and kill up close.

A much better policy is reloading after every 3rd kill, or when you have less than half a clip left. I bet at least 40% of your deaths come when reloading. having 5 bullets left in a clip is better than being caught unawares

I my tactical knife. It was a ballache to unlock, but it is so so worth it. You will beat other rippers to the punch all the time, and a miss with a knife swing is nowhere near as big a deal when you miss without the tactical knife. It looks fucking cool too.

The crazy thing is that any kill with a tactical knife is credited to the gun that you are using at the time. As a result I have about 400 kills with my .45!

I was joking of course. But yes, I do reload far too often, and regularly die as a result of walking round a corner mid-reload. I am very aware of the stupidity of this; it's just a bad habit.

I like the tip about reloading after every 3rd kill, although I fear your wisdom is lost on me. I'm usually dead long before my 3rd kill.

I still can't help but use the RPD mostly- which means no reload woes for me! It really helps having such a huge magazine- when I do have to reload I find a quiet corner of the map and go prone and wait it out. It's long but I've rarely been caught out

My all time fave gun. I have to FORCE myself not to use it (extended mags and grip), as its sooo sweet.

I still have it as backup- if I start getting killed too quickly, change to my RPD setup and cream the other team. Or cream everyone if I happen to be in a FFA

That’s me all over I know its stupid but I can’t help walking round corners reloading, i watch the kill cam and just imagine what they must of been thinking.

Basically my main faults in this game are:

Reloading way too often

Spiriting into an enemy and never being ready for them

Throwing flash/grenade as enemy walks round the corner where I had be waiting for him

or going back to kill site for revenge.......

So if I could get these stupid faults out of my game my k/d might go up....

Oh god, I'm so bad for this. I don't know why I ever think it's a good idea.... "if I'm waiting round the corner, he'll be hanging back, so I'll just chuck a flash and.. arrrggghhhhh" *dude charges round the corner and fills me full of lead*

The other stuff, just force yourself to be more conservative - I used to do stupid stuff like reloading whilst sprinting towards the enemy too - now I hang back to reload, sprint only when I think there's not going to be a baddy appearing - and as a result I survive way longer. Revenge is more difficult to resist, just never approach the same way or the same thing's going to happen, and if a guy has a good camping spot, chances are he'll have his sights on you before you do him. Let him camp and get no kills whilst you run around knifing his buddies. Or team up with a mate and distract camper boy with grenades or riot shield whilst your comrade stabs him from behind.

I was in a game the other night when as we spawned one of the guys on my team threw a knife from one side of the map(we were on the crashed planey one) and killed one of the other team. Lovely stuff.

They so should have implimented a replay system ala halo 3.

Wow, impressive - I wonder if you can get guaranteed kills if you figure out the perfect angle. Hopefully not. At least it's way more difficult than COD 4 grenade spam!

Last night I met my first Ripper who was actually good. To begin with he annoyed me, but I soon found a good counter - auto shotty secondary weapon (the one in the YouTube vid linked before), combined with your ears. I think the Ripper build has to sacrifice the silent footsteps perk for one of the speedy ones - so just listen out and you can hear the buggers pitter-pattering towards you. Boom boom boom boom, they're dead. A bit annoying to constantly have to switch weapons, but better than getting pissownzored.

This game is just fucking ridiculous tonight, I just put half a clip into a guy and he killed me, the killcam shows me not even firing my gun, the kicker being I was the fucking host. I'm barely even going 2:1 tonight because I straight up can't get any streaks, fucking ridiculous.

Just shot a guy 5 times in the head with a silenced SCAR and he had enough time to work out where the shots were coming from and kill me. I don't even know what to say.

I am level 43 or 44, so I think I have them all except the M240, so what would people recommend I use? And what perks to complement?

I use RPD with grip- the grip is pretty much essential to use it medium-long range

Marathon- otherwise you can literally only run about 2 metres with a LMG

Stopping Power- Don't know how necessary this is as LMG's tend to be pretty powerful and have a high rate of fire so you can prob switch this out for something else you prefer

Ninja- I run around a lot and this lets me run up to a team/behind them and use the huge magazine to take a good few of them out. A good alternative is Steady Fire for firing from the hip when you don't have time to go down the sighrs

It's curious you mention this, my mate swears that he finds it harder to kill people when he's host than when he's not.

You enter the match first - press back as soon as you join the in-game countdown, and if your name is at the top of the screen, and everyone else has the connection icon, or they're connected but with no connection quality indicator, you're the host, and they're all in the process of connecting to you.

Sometimes you don't see that but what you will see is everyone in the game with either 1 or 3 bars, except you with 4. The best bit is when you know you're the host and it goes to the migrating host screen, you just sit there thinking "why the fuck is it kicking me?" Then you get an error message when you try and rejoin. Good that.

I never have any trouble with it as host, I get picked a lot and it's always 4 bars and great reg for everyone, I'm just fucking unable to hit anything tonight, it's obscene, I'm not the best shot in the world but I KNOW that last SCAR kill was on target and I just got absolutely nothing, it's not even as if I was lagging because he worked out where I was from me firing at him so it was just utter bullshit.

Try out the L86 after you give the RPD a whirl, I prefer the L86 at the moment for the slightly higher ROF, plus it's British!

I change the perks depending on the game type, for regular death match I'll use Bling (grip + holo), SP and ninja, but for most objective based ones I'll use SOH, Hardline and commando, mostly for the pro part of being able to leap from windows and so on. Commando Pro on Favela is pretty much the best thing ever.

OK so what's people's preferred options with the kill streaks, this is the bit of game i suck most at. I can reasonably (ahem) regularly get 4 -5 kills on the trot now but i'm rarely if ever up to the 6-7 (i.e. the good stuff) without becoming a home for someone elses bullet. So it's on me to die less, but what's the Rllmuk considered thoughts on kill streaks to get MAXIMUM PWNAGE?

Most people who want maximum facerape seem to go with Predator, Harrier, Chopper Gunner. I like the novelty of care packages, personally. I got a 3 ammo + counter-UAV emergency the other day.
