It looks pretty much like an iOS version of Summer Games - the old Commodore 64 classic.

To be honest they share very little, but its a good game so check it out.

Im really like Toy Blast, its basically reskinned candy crush, but for some reason I like it a lot more.  Im fully expecting it to start needing me to use in app purchases soon to complete the later levels.

I really like Archery King as well, good fun online, although everyone seems to be bloody brilliant at it.

Are there any other decent match 3 games about, that don't require too much / any IAPs? Bit bored of Blitz and was hoping WWE Champions would be out by now (match 3 with your moves influencing a battle between two wrasslers... looks like dumb fun)

Have Zoo Keeper, which is ace, but welcome anything new :)

1000000 (and its sequel, You Must Build a Boat), Hero Emblems and Lumines are pretty much the gold standard there, I think.

Oops, forgot to mention I'd polished off 1000000 and YMBaB (both twice!), great games, well worth the price. Hero Emblems looks cool, will give that a whirl, thank-you. Enjoy match 3s when there's something else going on as a result of your matching.

Still playing Summer Sports, but getting to the point where I've hit my limit I think, at least until I can upgrade the heads / kits for better boosts. Doing the daily challenges, which are fun too although currently stuck on #27. Level requires you to not fail for 15 seconds, best I've managed is a teeth-gnashingly close 14.95

Hey all. For IPad what would you say is something that is decent in multiplayer, perhaps with chat, and yet isn't overly competitive. More coop? Anything Sci-Fi perhaps?

Just going through my history of apps and downloading some old ones. I think this is fantastic.

3 games from the same company over 4 years.

Out of interest how is that fantastic?

Just the massive increase in graphics in the space of 4 years from these tiny devices we have in our pockets. I know it's obvious with the way technology moves forward, but I love seeing things like that. Simple up front showings of advancement of some form.

I'm not even 30 yet I remember our school having 1 PC per year group when I was a kid. In the early years it was a BBC, then we moved onto black & white macs and Acorns.

Now we have these tiny little slabs of metal and glass in our pockets that massively outclass anything we had sat on our desks in the 90s. It's great.

Ah yes totally! Well generally the art catches up to the device. Fills it if you will.

Real racing is EA thought and they have more than enough resources to do what they want.

I feel the groundbreaking stuff has been more around the Inkle games. That's smart design. People will cite monument valley; for me that's a one trick pony and just another puzzle game.

When you look at something like 80 Days and how it does so much right and fresh and new...and yet familiar. You have to read! A truly interactive story where your choices make a difference.

That's what I respect and admire in this space. People doing things like this on a medium that could easily be used just for tap tap games or, ironically, racing. Its really tough because it could go all so wrong too and then you're broke.

I have been playing quite a bit of Tiny Rails lately, it is just one of those nice relaxing iOS games that I can leave going in the background & check in on occasionally to upgrade the train or purchase some cargo.

Haven't has much time for mobile gaming lately, but I've just grabbed Super Gridland - anyone else playing it?

It's a match 3 game by the guy who did A Dark Room. I enjoyed You Must Build A Boat as well as that game so thought it was worth a punt. I'm enjoying it, but having never really been into "traditional" match 3 games it's very different to YMBAB! I really liked the sliding, match-anywhere in-play mechanic in that, which Gridland doesn't have, so that takes a lot of getting used to. But it's not frantic like YMBAB, it's strategic.

Seems pretty good.
