Today I dug out the old iPod Touch I used to use before I dropped it and cracked the screen :hmm: the display's still okay but I preferred it without all the messy glass so I later bought a replacement. Anyway, I wondered if there was any use for the thing so I looked into trying out Cydia and I'm quite impressed with the results so far. :) I already have a program I use to get MAME games onto Gridlee (on my newer iPod), so I used that to try some SNES and Mega Drive/Genesis stuff. I don't think the size of the hardware really helps with control when you have huge thumbs, but it's still good fun.

Badland is out today and it's fantastic. It's a whole £2.49, but for that you get a beautiful looking, extremely fun game. It's sort of an endless runner, sort of a physics puzzler. Just noticed it keeps your progress from device to device too.

You know how Starbucks often give away apps via download cards picked up in store?

Well, they've decided to go for a much more convenient route - the Starbucks app will now be having links in it to the current app giveaway. (In the US, at least - I haven't confirmed this for the UK app, as the news came via Toucharcade.)

Anyway, the current free app is Angry Birds: Star Wars, which is a pretty big hitter to be available for free. If you want it now, can't be pestered to install the Starbucks app, and have a US iTunes account, you can hit this link: http://www.starbucks.com/mobilenotification/getitunesredirect?assetID=269 and it will generate a code you can redeem if you're logged in to a US account.

(It's pretty easy to get a US account; shout for help if you need it.)

Deleted Happy Street this morning, felt good man. I'm just not cut out for those types of games.

I stuck with Nimble Quest for a few weeks but deleted that also, still continuing with Clash of Clans for now but I expect that will also go in the near future.

jetpack joyride

punch quest... kind off

joe danger touch

quick hook

middle manager of justice

fairway solitaire

field runners 2

+ ridiculous fishing and other quick on offs

Anything else that actually, ACTUALLY hits the buttons that they do?
