Haha. OK I broke the Happy Street eggs thing. Got all but 8 in a quick blast through half my friends list last night. Then this morning went around remaining towns to hoover the rest up. Now have "-12" as the amount left to find today as it gave me quite a lot.

I kept doing it just to see if it would continue to work...

Nimble Quest is brilliant. RPG Snake essentially.

Yeah, I'm enjoying, looks like a return to form after Pocket Planes which I lost interest in quickly.

I've registered an Rllmuk clan. Just put RLLMUK in the box when you go to the arena to join.

I'm terrified to try Happy Street, it sounds like it turns you into a heroin addict.

i was interested until i saw the art. it looks like shit. i bought Super Hexagon, Ridiculous Fishing and Year Walk 90% because the graphics for all three are so pretty and distinctive.

Each to their own, but the graphics and animation are a large part of why Happy Street is so fab. Tonnes of incidental detail, and the style is charming and witty.

That said I wouldn't have thought it would be up your, ahem, street anyway.

Yeah, it's not great. For the first couple of goes it seems like it might be a fun distraction but it doesn't really do anything to hold your attention for long. Weirdly, I experienced slowdown in the game, slowdown in the menu transitions and some particularly long load times, although I am using a 4th-gen iPod Touch so maybe it's better on newer hardware. :)

Nimble Quest is just a bit rubbish in general. I don't think I've ever played such a boring Snake game before, it's basically Snake with the challenge removed and replaced with total randomness.

I couldn't disagree with you more...

I just don't really see what's to like about it, it's so boring. In Snake, you've always got a goal, you've got to get to the next bit of food, but doing so makes the game harder. In Nimble Quest you never have any goal, you just go round and round in circles until you get to the next level, and if you ever do grow, the game gets easier instead of harder. The fact that its so horribly slow for at least six levels means that every game has lost it's interest long before it might start to get good.

I couldn't really find anything to like about it, or any reason to recommend it above Nokia Snake.

Finally got round to getting the Wreak it Ralph paid app. 69p for 5 games and you get the Fix it Felix one, smash tv, Zaxxon and super sprint clones and a jumping tilt controlled one. Pretty good value for the price.

That doesn't mean they share anything by way of gameplay, which is all anyone who likes Super Hexagon is interested in. You'd be better off recommending Gauge, and Crispin would be similarly disappointed. Not because Gauge isn't also excellent, but because it shares nothing with SH.

So because someone likes Super Hexagon, the only games they will like are games in which you have to rotate around a hexagon in order to pass through gates? I'm kind of struggling to see your point.

I'm obviously not recommending ZONR because it shares gameplay with SH, but it shares a lot of other elements that someone who likes SH will appreciate, like the focus on style, and the music, and the short nature of each game, and the one-more-go appeal, etc.

i looked it up on Metacritic and it only has 2 reviews and looks a bit gay. it's gotta be big enough to have an Edge and ideally Guardian write-up, but really simple, arcade gameplay, a unique and cool style, good music, brilliant interface, slick. that's all people care about. i should be an executive; i know what people want.
