Sorry to be a pain in the arse but if anyone could hook me up with a code (I'm not in the UK) I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

It doesn't work for you? I'm in Australia at the moment and it worked fine for me.

Looking to bolster my games centre friend list from well, zero to some... Would love to play some games of battle of the bulge against anyone who's interested and also, for my sins downloaded real racing 3. Would be good to see some 'familiar' faces in there.

I'm Nagrub btw.

Just a question here as I have searched without success (which suggest the answer is no) are there any decent sim city /railroad/transport tycoon games around? Civilazation Revolutions seems about as far it goes, good though it is, and that still seems to have been cut down a lot.

You would have thought that ipad would be a perfect medium for this kind of game ( or I would have thought anyway - don't have the time to sit behind a PC playing these games nowadays but they strike me as brilliant on the move down-time fillers...

I know that there are a lot of fremoum type games that skirt around this area without really taking it on in any depth( again maybe I haven't seen or played the right one)

So anything out there (or even in development?)

Your best bet would be any of Kairosoft's games. The closest things you'll find (on any platform) to the classic sim/theme games. They don't even make that kind of game on PC anymore. :(

The classics of course is Game Dev Story, I'm on android these days so not sure which other ones are on iOS, but my favourite is Mega Mall Story (which definitely is on iOS). It's basically Sim/Yoot Tower. None of that freemium/IAP/rat on a wheel shite with their games.

There's a Sim City on iPad too which isn't bad.

Of the Kairo ones, you list superb games but the 2 you list are their least like Sim City. Something more in a "Venture Towns" might work.

Either way, the OP should buy all 3 we've mentioned because they're ace.

Knights of pen and paper. Good lord too addictive.

I'm liking that you unlock different character classes as you progress. I dumped the warrior and stuck the barbarian in!

With my cleric using weaken, and for multiple mobs my Druid sleeping, my rogue can concuss and my mags can freeze to limit attacks per round. Liking that I can manage most mobs like that.

Question. I'd like to use the blacksmith - yet I'm on 40% chance to craft. I've put a couple of craft % chance items on a character and it still says 40%? It should be 50 with my 2 items.

Now how do I find grindstones? I've only had one so far.

Did you have more than one character?

I found the grindstones, they were in the item list, not the equip list from the item seller. Doh. Still I've bought loads and he's only up to level 6. I think You need something over $25,000 worth to get to the top level. Prolly worth it...

Happy Street has been all kinds of awesome since Xmas they really are pulling out all the stops with higher level content. I think I've dropped about £20 on Floorz so far and I've not even needed them! They deserve the cash.

This has just been announced for iPad, good mix of Zelda and Animal Crossing:

I've basically clocked Knights of Pen and Paper. I reckon it's not going to be massively replayable :(

Got to the point where:

I've beaten everyone except MOM. She's a monster. Nice homage to Jet Set Willy that too. I ran away, even when at level 33ish I was able to take down the biggest dragon.

Is it worth playing anymore? It just seems like a grind now to be honest. I'd like to beat Mom yet I'm not going to spend 8 hours levelling up just to do that.

The game became relatively easy for me once I managed to have 3xstuns on my first round, one of which was the sleep. Being able to put enemies to sleep for 6-7 rounds means that you can deal with big mobs relatively easily. My healer was rarely used, apart from his weakening spell which was the most useful. I only ever used potions on the dragons, I'd never needed to before.

The other advantage of the sleep ability is that you're guaranteed a critical when you hit the character to wake them up. So I leave that to my rogue who'll do 220 or so damage with his crit. Then my Barbarian is on a 1 in 2 to crit, and that's another 160 or so.

Overall I've really enjoyed it and didn't ever feel the need to spend any real life money. I feel they could have been harder on that!

Had my eye on that for a while, yeah, it looks good and the developer seems to have decent form. You never really know how this stuff's going to turn out until you see how paywalled it is, but I'm hopeful.

And yeah, Happy Street goes from strength to strength. VISIT MY MUSEUM!

So I finally got round to updating my iPhone 4 to iOS 6 today. All complete now, but every time I load up Game Center it crashes on startup, it just hangs for a couple of seconds on the green background then kicks me back to my icons screen. I've tried rebooting the phone to no avail.

Can anyone let me know how I can fix it?
