Raiden Legacy is a great conversion, but there are some weirdly shoddy bits round the edges. the main one is probably the lack of acceleration in the touch controls; games like Infinity Gene and the Cave shooters have it so that a relatively small movement of the finger means a relatively large movement of your ship. This is geared, so that you get fine control and rapid movement, but it also means that you don’t have to move your finger very much to control the game.

In Raiden, there are similar touch controls, but without much gearing, so that you sometimes have to lift your thumb up and replace it to move your ship right across the screen. It also means that you sometimes have to put your thumb right where you don’t want it to be (i.e. obscuring a vital part of the screen), which generally means death. It’s a real shame, because it feels a bit like you’re fighting the controls rather than playing the game.

There are some other problems as well, like the fact it doesn’t seem to save your high scores, you can’t enter your name in the high score table, and there’s no Raiden II for some reason. It seems a bit odd, because DotEmu did the conversion, and they’re normally great.

You can change the finger option speed if that helps. At least you can on the Nexus. I've not bought it for iphone.

All down to 69p. That's more like it, non of this iPad HD premium price crap.

Still fairly annoying that they can't just make them universal. I've got all three of those games on my iPhone but they look shit on an iPad mini, so I have to buy them again

Amazingly I don't have any Angry Birds games yet. I want to buy one now they are on sale, but which one would be the best?

Space is the good one. Less trial and error, more interesting mechanics with all the gravity and stuff. Good wee game (as someone who can't stand regular angry birds)

It's not quite the same though is it? A mild warming over of an old game. That's just not the same as the period before Worms became super popular where they released Alien Breed, Project X, Superfrog, Assassin, Body Blows, F17 Challenge etc in the space of about 3 years.

Poposity is incredible. In a way, I'm almost angry that it's been released, just because it makes other games seem so unadventurous and staid. You really have to wonder what all other game developers have been doing all these years, and what they'll do now. Poposity has showed us the way towards a future where games stop being games, and start being something else.

Playing Poposity made me question what I was doing with my life.

It's a new mode in Magnetic Billiards, although 'mode' doesn't really do it justice. It's not even a game, really - it's more than that. Normally, you might use words like "fun", "exciting", or "satisfying" to describe a game, and they just don't seem to be applicable to something like Poposity.
