Don't listen to him.

At no point did anyone say it was supposed to be a "Deep" adventure, he just wanted it to be one.

It's a nice little exploration/action game, I think you'd have to be a total curmudgeon not to get 69p's worth of fun from it.

I'm with Scott on this one. All style no substance. Sure it's 69p, but that's 69p better spent elsewhere.

All style no substance is fine by me for 69p, or even £1.99.

I've enjoyed what I've played of it anyway, mileage clearly varies.

Lots of people buying 69p IAP focussed games that are all style and no substance just increases the number of these types of games that will be made.

As if.

Something weird has happened to my Missus's street though - the graphics for the buildings have gone permanently low-res. I wonder if she's simply got too much stuff for our lowly iPad 1 to display?

The latest update bumps down the graphics quality on iPad 1 because there's not enough memory for streets with all the new types of buildings/characters etc.

Vice City- has anyone heard any Michael Jackson on the in-game radio? it always used to play Billie Jean when you first got into Ken's Admiral after the intro and it didn't this time.

I know there was a music licensing issue over one of the MJ songs last month and am wondering if they got cut...

Pretty sure it's cut. Although as far as I remember Billy Jean played when you get on the biker's bike- there's a mini cut scene of him leaving the bike and Tommy Vercetti going "Nice bike.." which was a big hint to go ride that bike... anyway, it's been replaced by Bryan Adams "Run To You".

Like the GTA 3 port, I think Wardrum studios have done a really good job with this- looks lovely, handles really well, about as good as you could ever hope Vice City on a phone could be. :)

Happy Street: Pearls Of Light. :hmm:

Is there some kind of trick to getting the special fish as I've got two tasks, both of which need them ( 7 in total ) & I haven't seen one for days. :(

EDIT

And a building upgrade needs another one, grrr.

Also, where do I find other coloured gems, I've got the blue rock but not seen yellow or red, do I need to keep expanding my forest to find them?

No, it didn't. I tested the theory years back. Billie Jean played no matter which vehicle, an awesome design decision.

For the pearls of light you need to fish at night (in game). I think that's the only time they appear. For the other colored rocks you need to trade with friends who have them.
