But it does have one fatal bug, that you can run exactly the same thing twice and get different results. If there is ONE requirement of a physics puzzler, it's physics. Here you could try a solution, have it fail and discard it when actually it would have worked.

Nice to see Rovio sticking to their guns... Sigh.... The major fault with Angry Birds is precisely this! if you do the same thing twice and get two different results then the games challenge is broken, not irrevocably but you end up repeating moves over and over just in case the move is right but the randomness robbed you.

I'm not sure about birds because in that it'd be very easy to do SLIGHTLY different things which would have a different result. I'll bow to your experience on that one though.

But yeah here you can literally have the same design, hit ok and hit nothing else and achieve differing results and that's a problem, possibly a big one, which is a shame because aside from that I love this, a lot.

Yes you are right it is easy to do SLIGHTLY different things. But even if you are then from a gameplay point of view the upshot is the same, the input method means that you feel and see you are doing the exact same shot but results are different.

Having tried it on iPad it has same issue and there you can obviously be even more certain you are doing it exactly the same. And watching the shot result it looks like it hits same block at same angle etc etc with two different results.

I don't see it as the ultimate deal breaker that some do but it is a bit rubbish nonetheless.

Ironically piggies sounds worse as there it is blindingly obvious it is exactly the same, and that would really annoy!

in addition to Bad Piggies which I think is superb (ipad version seems best of the 3 I have) I'm also finding King Oddball strangely compelling.

Its a bit weird in that you throw rocks at tanks using a strange head in the sky's tongue but its quite compelling in an offbeat way - some may balk at the £1.49 price point but both me and my son got quite into it over the weekend.

it doesn't have a 3* system, you either complete a level or don't, it may be a bit style over substance but every time I think that it does something quirky and I'm drawn back in.

Yeah, those are satisfying.

I find that I'm better with certain patterns. For example, there is an especially maze-like pattern on the Hexagoner that I simply cannot do. So if that pattern doesn't crop up on my go, I'll do ok (52:27 is my best), but if it does, it's instant game over. I really need to learn how to handle those.

Best time on Hexagonest is 8:09

My Happy Street addiction continues.

At level 22 I'm still some distance from the level cap (33) and its taking an age to level up now.

However I've recently finished what I believe to be all the new quests they added in the recent update

a murder mystery who dunnit

.

I'd be lying if I said I was playing for the story line, the building level up system is keeping me hooked, my 1001 Nights Palace is fully levelled and I'm now working on the circus set and looking forward to building the robot buildings when they unlock.

Anyone else still playing this little time waster?

Still loving Bad Piggies, though i'm trying to pace myself so I don't run though all the levels too fast.

I've been reccomending it to my friends, & one in turn recommended me another Physics-based puzzler that he couldn't remember the proper name of (he didn't have his iPad at that moment). It apparently features a matchstick man who is being threatened by a heavy object (wrecking ball, train, etc) approaching him & you have to use matchsticks to build constructs to either divert the threat or hold it back.

Does anyone know what game he was talking about?

Apologies of there's already something in here already. My friend and I work in the same office but on opposite sides of the room. We both have iPhones and we need games that we can play each other at while we are bored. Scrabble type game initially springs to mind - yes, there's Scrabble itself but was wondering if there were any alternatives?

Thanks

Nobody plays Tiny Tower, you just let it control you through positive reinforcement until you hate yourself so much you can overpower its conditioning and delete the wretched thing forever.

If anyone with an iPhone 5 likes Tower of Fortune, don't update to the latest version which adds 5 support. Some assets aren't displayed at retina display resolution and the UI is completely messed up with half of the buttons not working, rendering it unplayable
