Ha! Gave it a go. Why do I never learn with this sort of reaction based game? I can last no longer than 3 or 4 seconds.

Still, only 69p wasted.

Give it another few minutes. One of the beauties of it is that it is reaction based, but only a little bit. Certainly the beginning stages now feel like they're coated in treacle.

Hexagon best: 51.8 seconds

Kingdom Rush is the best tower defence game by miles. Played Fieldrunners 1 the other night for the first time in months and it felt like a slog in comparison. 69p is an absolute steal.

Does Carcassone ever come down in price? I want it but it's a bit steep for an admittedly excellent game.

Keep getting 59.95 seconds on Super Hexagon (iPad version). Can't quite get the minute!

Yeah, the first time you beat that minute you feel like such a champ. Then you try the next stage and go back to crying. The last stage is crazy, and occasional frame stuttering from my iPhone 4 really doesn't help. :(

You should try Fieldrunners 2 which is brilliant, its worth remembering the first Fieldrunners is like 4 years old now.

My issue with Fieldrunners 1 is the length of time it takes to play a map. It's too long for me. I have the attention span of a five year old.

78 secs in Hexagon.

It's closer to Guitar Hero than Tempest really.

It's a good game but it's not in the same league as (for instance) Jetpack Joyride or Minotaur Rescue, unless you have superhuman reflexes.

It deserves good reviews but there's a hint of Bioshock syndrome about some of them -- some writers are really scared of being accused of not 'getting' cool things. 8)

I'm using Tilt controls, with the sensitivity up full. They work great for me, but one rave review on Youtube was using touch controls.

I love the Explore mode most of all I think, it's so relaxing just gently looking for all the scrolls, but the 25 Golden Monkeys are hidden in the missions, and fiendishly so. I think that's going to give the game quite a lot of replay value.
