Anyone else have the updated NewStar Soccer? Mine's crashing all over the place and I noticed it's been pulled completely from the store. Guessing that it's related.

Surprised to see them selling a pair of the new boots for $8.99. Seems steep!

Another vote for 10000000 here - it's absolutely fantastic, possibly more-so because at least to start off it's so hard that your games last little more than 30 seconds. I'm really enjoying the combination of grind and puzzling - there's a nice sense of progression to the game.

If anyone else is looking for Pocket Heroes players, then you're welcome to add me - idespair.

Not as far as I can tell, although I only saved once during the game. It's not long, I played through in two sittings. About three hours in total maybe?

Runs pretty smoothly on iPad 2 apart from a couple of glitches, not a bad little 'game' at all.

Has 10000000 been mentioned yet? It's an RPG puzzler, similar to Dungeon Raid. Loads of upgrade options. Addictive as all fuck :).

This is so much fun. Frantic with a real feeling of progression

It gets even better as you start to get better gear and open up the perks- my crits now do 3x extra damage, so I'm oneshotting ninjas all over the place.

The chiptunes and 8 bit style graphics really add to the charm. No IAPs either

I bought (a rarity for the iPhone) 10000000 pretty much based on the hype within this topic and I'm sad to say I'm greatly disappointed. I get the feeling until you're kitted out with some of the best skills and weapons, rounds are disappointingly brief and unsatisfying. The levelling is also inconsequential as to be nothing but an aesthetic choice and the RPG elements lacking any form of variation beyond what order you plump for things.

Comparisons with Dungeon Raid, an altogether far superior match-three, are unwarranted. Dungeon Raid is a far deeper experience and I am extremely disappointed that I went for 10000000 over finally obtaining the paid version.

I'd still struggle to be "Extremely disappointed" at something that cost me £1.49. I mean, I'd struggle to be even mildly disappointed. In fact, I'd be more disappointed if I bought an ice cream I didn't like for £1.49.

I didn't think it was that great either by the way.

By your line of absurd logic, there's no reason why you would be more disappointed with an unsatisfactory ice cream than an iPhone game.

Point is, neither things would "greatly" or "extremely" disappoint me. I dread to think how disappointed you would be if you'd spent a tenner. "Crushingly" perhaps?

You need to get some perspective. Some people recommended a game (hardly "hype", which is more exaggeration on your part), you bought it, didn't like it, and you're £1.49 down. Big deal.

Jesus Christ, all this for a bit of hyperbole. I suspect you are in desperate need of some perspective yourself.

In the meanwhile, I sincerely hope no one posts any negative opinions to any iPhone game that costs below... whatever the amount necessary to warrant disappointment is. I'd hate to see what you're like when someone opines on a free game.

You suspect wrong.

I think being free pretty much renders a game exempt from criticism, yes.

That there's crazy talk Davros. In a world of free and cheap games, there are great, good, ok and awful games a plenty.

Granted, I would rarely feel ripped off in this world, but there's shit out there no doubt. With so much to choose from I don't have to time to play everything, so disappointment is always going to happen.

I bet you'd slag off a McDonalds burger even if it was given to you for free. Imagine you hadn't ever tried one before yet you read in this thread of burgers that it was great, from people whom you trust and whose opinions quite regularly reflect your own. I'm sure you'd be disappointed.
