Not so much a games thing, but are there any good iPhone apps for reading Manga? Not ones that take files you've downloaded - I mean ones that provide a service within the app for you to buy manga, or that charge an up-front fee or something - basically is there a Manga e-reader application with a built-in shop?

Manga Storm is free and allows you download masses of free manga from websites- not used it myself but it looks it pretty good. According the reviews Manga Browser is the one to get (£1.99) as it's got a wider range of titles available and seems pretty highly rated.

Dreamcast fans...

Fur fighters released today and Jet Set Radio coming soon apparently. Really looking forward to that. Could be great on the iPhone/ipad

Furfighters, controls not good for touch. Sadly.

So Major Mayhem, does anyone know how the multipliers work? In fact what is the best way to get the most mayhem? There is an achievement for the timebomb mode to get 100,000 points, though I just tried it and barely managed 2,000 points. Is there a trick to this?

I'm using an automatic sniper rifle, killing people is easy with that but it doesn't seem to have an effect on the points.

Just given this a go, I am using the P99 at the moment, great little gun.

FIrst go I scraped 8000 points, got hit quite a few times & didn't use any power-ups.

Second go, I didn't get hit once, used an airstrike when the first plane appeared, got a super bullet power-up from one of the scientists & towards the end I used the bullet time power-up for the tank & last few enemies - 60,000+ points! :)

EDIT

The more bullets you hit an enemy with, the more your multipler goes up so if all you are doing is one-shot kills, I don't think you can get a very high score.

We've only got the one table (Arabian Nights) but it's fantastic. Complicated, how it all works, but very, very addictive. My thanks again to you both.

No problem, don't forget there's a high score table here!

Really enjoying Tiny Troopers, about as next-gen Cannon Fodder as you could reasonably expect anything to be!

It has some sort of friend code system - not sure how it works, beyond if you enter somebody else's, you get 50,000 command points for calling in airdrops and stuff. So mine's QFWTAQNQ.

In Kingdom Rush, it says there's a maximum of 75 stars available. But I can only see 47 stars available from the missions I've done, and I've completed the game.

What am I missing?

I think that includes stars you get from the other modes you unlock when you complete a level.

Finally got around to playing Spell Tower - superb. Exactly what I was after. Loving the simple presentation, the mix of modes. I've been wanting to play it all day.

Spy vs Spy out tomorrow as well. What happened to the "summer lull" we used to get? I'm currently playing ultra beat hazard, with 15 minute plus songs on the pod it's possible to rack up some really good scores. What's not so good is when a poorly tagged audio book comes on instead!

Cheers

I like playing that with a 27 minute Amiga mod file I converted into an mp3.
