Yes, that Major Mayhem is very addictive indeed!

Its bloody brilliant! Perfect iPhone game IMO. Perfect controls, nice visuals, a hook of in game currency and levelling up, instant gameplay, continuing variation of gameplay. Its got the lot. Oh, and FREE!

I assume its from the same guys who made Jetpack Joyride?

Frankenword is fun, free (with extra packs to buy). You get two clues, and a set of tiles, and you have to make a kind of portmanteau. This image should pretty much sum it up:

The amount of americanisms in it annoys me.

How the hell was I supposed to know that a cracker is also called a "graham"?

It even had the audacity to tell me I'd spelled "sterlise" wrong because I didn't use a "z".

Also, an atom is not a molecule, it's a part of a molecule.

Also, one of the words is just "Ferris", as in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". The clue was "Bueller?" The franken definition was directly about Ferris Bueller. Isn't there an unwritten rule in word games that you can't use names, brands and places?

We're only allowed to post positive opinions now? I've no problem with you or anyone else enjoying it, just saying it annoyed me, which it did. Either way, cheers for the recommendation. Kept my attention for a bus journey.

No idea, but I'm guessing so, a lot of the sound effects seem to be borrowed from JJ.

It's an American company that made it, so criticising it for having American spellings just seemed a bit much. One of those things you just have to accept and work around.

No one else picked up Outwitters yet? It's brilliant.

Just got round to picking this up. Not played it at all yet, but my Game Centre name is SomethingWitty if anyone fancies a game. I'll no doubt be a complete shambles to start with, so there will be some easy wins to be had. :)

Yeah, it's subjective but I have most of the pinball games.

Pinball Arcade - 'The best'. Real tables, good physics, looks great. Certainly on iPad 3, but I find the tables too dense for iPhone screen though.

Pinball Dreams HD - idiosyncratic physics, but plays well on iPhone (and is universal).

Zen Pinball - heavy physics, good tables.

I have Pinball HD, but the physics are not very good.

Pinball Arcade is highly recommended.

Personally, I think that Pinball Arcade on iPad is the definitive pinner on any platform, let alone iPad. It feels more like pinball than anything else other than, you know, actually playing pinball!

We've only got the one table (Arabian Nights) but it's fantastic. Complicated, how it all works, but very, very addictive. My thanks again to you both.
