Not frequented this thread in a while, so it's nice to see the renewed love for MAMC (I wrote a post or two on it in here when it was first released). Still one of my absolute favourite iOS games, as well as one of my favourite puzzle games on any platform. Just a brilliant game. Shame I didn't realise it had gone free, as I could've tried to get somemore of my friends on the bandwagon...

According to Gamecenter I haven't played it since April though, which was a surprise. I think this needs rectifying. Time for another go at that diamond in sixty seconds achievement, I think...

Got my iPad3 (thanks to they who must not be mentioned) yesterday. The retina screen is quite something isn't it? I didn't expect it to be such an improvement. Kindle in particular is transformed.

Are there any games that make particularly good use of retina on iPad?

Did it all feel worth it in the end John? ;)

Boom Street's been released on iPhone and it's free with one map. I've played this more than is sensible on the Wii and this version seems solid so far. No Final Fantasy characters in this, not that it matters in the least. Brilliant game, just don't bother with easy mode - the meat of it lies in the stock market.

I'll have a browse through the thread in a sec, but just in case there are some quick/easy suggestions - can anyone recommend any good rpg or card games? (like magic - I've heard Ascension is good?). I'd be playing them on an ipod touch.

KardCombat - IoS version of Spectromancer, Google the flash version to see if you like it

Ascension - essential, get it immediately

Shadow Era - Almost as good, highly recommended

Magic 2013 just came out too but iPad only.

Awesome, thanks. I bought Ascension yesterday and I'll have a look at the other two. Alas I don't have an iPad, otherwise Magic would have been an instant buy :(

Hmmm, Yesterday looks interesting. Are there proper puzzles Phelan, or is it just doing simple stuff to trigger the next bit of story?

Not too far into it yet. Will report back when I get some free time to play.
