I removed my card details from iTunes, and stopped buying vouchers because I was pissin away over £60 a month on games and music.

So that being said, what are some of the better free games? I trust rllmuk better as you guys often find some right hidden gems.

Didn't it have a huge budget or something as well..? I remember reading that they were a bit screwed because of all the money they'd splashed on it.

I don't know about screwed but they did spend a lot, so much so it was the front cover of develop magazine.

The Whale Trail update isn't that bad - the 60 bonus levels seem to be the same as before, and they were miles better than the arcade mode IMO, really good bite-size score challenges. That said I can't remember if I paid extra for them or not.

Whale Trail - £150,000

how? its a rather charming one touch "jetpack joyride"-alike. The art is nice but I don't see how it could take so much to build it?

Edit - Answering my own question. Apparently 7,500 hours over 7 months. In 8hr days that is 937.5 days development.

The "£150,000" figure that's touted about for Whale Trail is about as grounded in reality as the "street value" of drugs in police press conferences, or the contents of the briefcase in a WWE Money in the Bank event.

Public service post, that thing we're not allowed to talk about got an update to not require facebook anymore.

I offer no editorial.

At the same time as Facebook start to aggregate game reviews across platforms and users. Shame.

Well there are only two options

1) Idiot dev pisses £150000 up a wall developing a very nice looking jetpack joyride-alike and then has to ruin game annoy people who paid for it by making it "free to play"

2)Dev doesnt spend that on it.. sells ok but then decides they want to milk it and then ruins the game and annoys people who paid for it by making it "free to play"

So either idiots or evil

In Monsters Ate My Condo how do you tell when a monster is going to swap with a different one? Is there anyway to force it? Lovely game. Mega addictive and great presentation.

If you get a combo of the same coloured blocks as the monster it will swap.

I saw a link recently, I think it was either on here or the Digital Fix forums, to a site selling very cheap iTunes vouchers codes by email. I forgot to bookmark it and can't find it now though. Any suggestions?

No one playing tiny troopers? I never played cannon fodder but apparently its in that style.

Kind of like a small scale command and conquer. Controls really well, tap where you want to shoot or move. Also there is an incentive to keep your men alive across the missions as they level up, but once dead you get a new low rank replacement.

The levels are nice and varied so far with different objectives.

£1.99, but well worth it. just wish it was on vita as it would early benefit from the extra screen size.
