So who's playing MotoHeroz then? I'm not sure I quite get it yet.

I've only just learnt about this title but looking online I think I'm more tempted by the Wii Ware version:

http://www.nintendol...11/09/motoheroz

I think it's the kind of title that would benefit from a slightly more focused gameplay session to me. Looks like loads of fun and I like the ghost cars that give you a visual aid of what a gold run looks like. I've always had a soft spot for big monster truck floaty physics games, too. What are your thoughts on the iPhone version?

Also, I wonder if anyone can shed some light on a problem I've had where Game Centre achievements aren't registered. I have one for Cut The Rope and now one for Angry Birds Space that I think I'll never manage to get because I've already got them but I must not have had an Internet connection at the time. If I lose my Game Centre connection whilst earning an achievement will it never log it? Is there any way around this, or as a developer is there a tool you can add to your games where you re-check whether the "local" version of an achievement has been logged and compare it to the GC version? Seems a shame to have missing achievements on games I've otherwise completed.

EDIT: Just found a convincing reason why achievements might not log properly. One of the main ones that has irritated me was in Cut The Rope, but this thread demonstrates why there might be a problem: "... if you had already met the requirements for the achievements before you updated [to the 1.1 version of the game] there is no way for you to receive them. This is because you'll never "reach" the 200/400/etc point where the game should give you the achievement, since you were already past that point".

Is it just me, or is Ziggurat really fucking tough? 100 kills is about my best at the moment. Even though the controls are very simple, I still seem to struggle with them a bit when there's lots of bad guys on screen.

You playing on the phone?I find it really hard on the iPad but I can get 290 on the phone. To clear 100 just try alternating shots constantly in either direction at an angle so they bounce once before going off the screen with a slight charge, just enough of a charge to knock back the big aliens.

I seem to have gotten steadily worse of late :( still haven't survived for 6minutes to see what happens, it is actually a whole level and can be completed.

A mate of mine invited me to a game of Draw Something. I wasn't any more than vaguely curious, but the instant I saw it play out a drawing Rolf Harris-style I was convinced. No-one mentioned it did that!

I'm petescrap if anyone fancies more games.

Finished off the 1st 2 worlds of Angry Birds Space with ony the last few of each on less than 3 Stars. I note that all beyond the first "Danger Zone" (Harder Levels) is behind another paywall, but I'm happy enough with what's available now I hope the "coming soon" section will also be free.

I'm not that into App Store games other than Angry Birds, Cut the Rope & Puzzle Quest so is this kind of roping of parts of games behind further paywalls par for the course? I didn't mind getting the Mighty Eagle for Angry Birds/Seasons/Rio as it was additional challenge & also quite fun, but i don't approve the way they've done it in Space.

I've never seen it before. Do you mean that you are playing a free version? If so that's normal. If it's a paid for game, sounds pretty rubbish!

It's a 69p game on IOS. For that, you get the 2 sets of levels & can "earn" a certain number of Space Birds. You can buy "packs" of further Space Birds which are used up rather than one off payment in the other versions, & level 2 upwards of the Danger Zone needs is a separate payment too.

It's Angry Birds. They'll add tons of free levels over the next months and years.

Calm down.

I don't doubt there will be free content, it just seems that this one has a lot more pay walls than normal, & this may indicate a shift in the way the series is going.

I may get the Danger Zone levels at some point, but I still think restricting the Space Bird to certain number of uses per purchase is a bit too far.

I can heartily recommend Swordigo http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/swordigo/id499125840?mt=8, haven't seen it mentioned in this thread. I was after something relatively meaty (in terms of being able to sink some time into it) after finishing the excellent Waking Mars and this fits the bill perfectly.

It reminds me of Zelda 2, a little bit of Metroid and is the first platformer I've played on my ipad2 (apart from icade stuff) that hasn't been at all frustrating to control (mostly because of the most excellent customization options for button placement etc). I've put around 5-6 hours in so far I think and I'm about 70% done, although the difficulty is ramping up. Anyway, I've very much enjoyed it so far...

I know someone who's completed it on iPad and they play it by laying the iPad down on a surface and placing the fingers of both hands along the bottom of the screen and just fire shots like they're playing the piano. I have no idea how they manage this.

And indeed it is good. Very slick with fully customisable controls, yay!

Not played it for long but already had my inquisitiveness rewarded by finding a secret area.

Yep, there's quite a lot of secret areas to discover, with lots of chest hidden in hard to reach places etc. And while the upgrade system certainly isn't very deep, it's still satisfying every time you level up or find something new. And while certainly light on puzzles (apart from the main puzzle of where to go next, what areas to explore etc) I think it has a very good sense of pacing overall which keeps things moving along nicely.

I was losing it at meatball56's attempts to guess "vortex".

I was clueless :(

And it's meatball46!!

So how do we think Zynga will "improve" Draw Something? :(

I hope they improve it as much as they improved Drop7 so you have to turn the internet off to get it to load at all! That'd be excellent!
