demand your 69p back then if you feel nearly 2hours represents poor value for the outlay

Did I say that? I did not. I merely pointed out it was an odd game to single out for praise on the grounds of longevity. (Plus I did it on the Android version anyway, so it was free.)

What about getting 3 stars?

Not very arsed. 3 stars usually means repeating the same move 50 times until you randomly hit the one pixel the game wants you to hit. Two generally means you've figured out the right solution, you just haven't hit the magic pixel yet.

Game Dev Story is a bit good isn't it?! Haven't sessioned a game like that for about 5 years - my GF was very impressed with me.

Have downloaded PL Story but yet to embark. Any more games like that?

All of the kariosoft games have a very similar gameplay mechanic, I'd recommend Mega Mall Story next.

Annoyingly, my draw something games have been lost when I upgraded, and I've deleted the free version so can't recall who I was playing with.

My tag is now saintmb, so can my fellow sketchers please send new games requests?

Ta, sorry for being a pain.

I'll have a look at the code. There isn't any intentional delay but there's window of a few frames between colliding with a platform and it being registered as a landing.

One thing I wasn't totally happy with is the way the trajectory preview is animated. It sort of looks like you have to hold your finger down for a second or so before a jump will work. In fact that's a totally cosmetic effect and the jump is valid instantly (even before you can see the entire path). There isn't really a drag mechanic at all - each position in the lower half of the screen represents an angle and velocity for a jump so you could simply tap the right position in theory. The reason for the animation is because it looked really twitchy and messy without it. I'd like to come up with a better solution which didn't hide the instant nature of the controls.

To be honest, I think it was all in my head, an inbuilt rhythm I was building up with the jumping. I've been playing it loads on pad and phone and can't seem to identify what it was I meant!

Great little game though, completely repayable and every time I get near to ring 100 it makes me want to snap the iPad in half with frustration. And then start again.

Can't wait to see this as a full version, even seeing the acronym is enough to start that Loop Aznavour tune in my head though, goodness knows what it'll be like when it's in the game!

So who's playing MotoHeroz then? I'm not sure I quite get it yet.

Yeah, I'm a big redlynx fan but it hasn't really clicked with me. I've got about half the courses unlocked, and I need to go back now and get more stars and I'm finding it quite frustrating. It seems a bit too fussy and unforgiving. I have enough faith in redlynx that it could be more my fault than theirs, so I'll give it some more time, but I haven't really enjoyed it too much. It's definitely no 1000 heroez or trials anyway.

Ok, call me a thickly if you want but how are you getting the screen grabs from Draw Something??

Using built in OS functionality. On an iPad or IPhone you'd hold the power button and tap the home button, on an android your mileage may vary.
