Dark Meadow isn't rubbish, that's way too harsh. I daresay Infinity Blade 2 is better though, I should get that at some point.

Anyone played The Tiny Bang Story? It's nothing earth shattering, and the more cynical among you may dismiss it as another "find the object" game, but it has a lovely style and does have proper puzzles to solve. It's more like a hybrid "point and click/find the object/do a jigsaw" game:

Anyway, it's very relaxing, very moreish, looks lovely, and has a lite version anyway, so worth a try if you fancy something gentle to pass the time.

Anybody have Magnetic Billards working on an ipad3? I just get a flash of a full sized splash screen, then a postage stamp sized menu in the corner of the screen.

It's being worked on, John Pickford just needs to fix his Mac first though ;)

Finished Another World. Something I probably never would have done on the PC with the original difficulty level.

Real exceptional and forward thinking game. The pixel perfect jumping is awful but the use of the gun, the clever environmental puzzles and the music and the world is inspiring. A little short though : (.

Has anyone played 'Heart of the Alien' or 'Heart of Darkness' and are they any good?

I think I've sorted it but can't test on my Mac. I'll get Ste to try it on his when he gets up (it's 5:30am) if it doesn't work I'll head over to Ste's house today and get it fixed. All being well a fixed version will be uploaded today and we'll ask Apple to rush it through.

Not sure about actually upgrading the graphics - from what other devs are saying nobody can tell the difference on bitmaps. It seems to be mainly fonts that benefit. We have all graphics at high res so it's doable at the expense of download size/Ram usage.

What is the best Professor Layton style game on the iPhone?

+1 for Puzzle Agent. I was playing Puzzle Agent 2 but it's taken a back seat for Prof Layton Specters Flute (oh and bloody NSS5!).

Jim and Frank Mysteries is pretty good too. Still only 69p last i looked.

Mystery of the Japanese Werewolves is free for today. It's certainly giving off a metroidvania kind of vibe, I ran around for a bit then picked up a skill and then had access to some new areas. It's got a silly sense of humour, which I like. Give it a go.

Supports the iCade, and if you're playing on an iPad the controls are in the middle instead of at the bottom, so you'll be able to hold it.

The controls are great on the ipad, very clever and sparing design to have jump on the opposite directional button to the one you're using. At first I raised an eyebrow, but it works surprisingly well.

Thanks for all the great recommendations TTK, I've got Space Harvest to try later as well.

I haven't touched a console in months...

It's not rubbish at all...I played Dark Meadow first and quite enjoyed it. However when I played Infinity Blade 2 it made me realise that you could do everything in Dark Meadow much, much better.

Another one on the new iPad bandwagon. Missed out on getting a previous one so this is my first tablet.

I've been messing round with Garageband and it's a bit deeper than I first thought it would be.

Also got the new Flight Control - the user reviews are largely spot on that the IAP is too much for a paid game. Admittedly it's only 69p but it really pushes you at all times to spend real money on stuff.

Installed Magnetic Billiards and I have the above bug with the tiny screen size, glad it's not just me!

Just got notice from Apple that they are 'expediting' the review. Not sure what that means in practice but hopefully it'll be live very soon.

Is Zuma HD just meant for the iPad or iPhone (4) as well?

I couldn't see any mention of either being designed for the retina display but the HD version mentions the iPad specifically.

Would the regular version be blurry and rubbish on my wife's 4 or my 4S?

I don't have an iPad yet but i'm wondering how the New Retina display model changes up how the Retina/Non Retina & iPad-Enhanced modes work out. Does this mean that all the games that already have Retina versions will look good on it, or will they need another mode specifically to take full advantage of it?
