Has anybody else had any trouble getting Enscripted to work? I've downloaded it for my Ipod Touch 4G and every time I try to launch it the screen just goes blank and nothing happens. It's the only app I've ever had any issues with.

Yeah, there's a note in the AppStore description saying its broken on those devices right now but an update should be out within a week

I can't believe that Pokemon ripoff is number 3 in the chart. How could apple approve that?!

I can't believe the people who are buying it.

Also I'm thinking would it help if there was a dedicated Enscripted thread?

Or is it a fad that will die in a few weeks?

I bought enscripted and I just get a black screen after a very brief orangey loading screen. Ipod 4th gen. Any ideas ? I've tried deleting and re-installing a few times. Am I just being impatient ?

This might sound a bit odd but I'm going to take an educated guess based on an issue I had in one of my apps. Check your iPhone "date and time" settings and see if 24 hour clock is switched to "on". If not try and switch it over and run it again.

Was wondering the same. Great that people are enjoying it, and I've had a dabble myself, but if it's a long-term thing, a separate thread might be useful.

Unless Enscripted posts could be spiced up a bit...

Today's Enscripted is going to haunt me. You know that bit in Paranormal Activity 2, where the baby gets lifted out of the cot by an invisible force? That's what it did to me, except the bed was on fire! Somehow I broke free and managed to complete the quote: "The love inside, you take it with you".

It was the ghost of Patrick Swayze all along. We spent the rest of the evening making pottery :wub:

I think a dedicated Enscripted thread would be a marvellous idea and world definitely help when I see new posts only for my excitement of new game news being popped like a balloon when all people are doing is asking for bloomin' clues for that bloomin' game.

Say what you will about Tim Rogers, but he's made a good, addictive game. I'm already fostering a fair old Ziggurat habit. A frantic shooter that balances aim, timing, and assessing the advancing threats in a pretty satisfying way. Good explosions, & a touch controls which don't get in the way of what you're doing. You are at a fixed point on top of the ziggurat, and swipe along the bottom of the screen to arc your gun. Hold to charge; release to fire; kill alien freaks with your bouncing bombs.

Nice idea, but it didn't help unfortunately. This version just doesn't work on iPod touch; it says so on the app store.

Fairway Solitaire is pure digital crack...it's all I'm playing at the moment.

Currently, I hold 5 World Records as well: Longest Great Shot (31), Longest Great Shot without using any irons (22), Most Cards Played without a mistake (279), Most cards left in draw pile with a perfect score (10) and Longest Descending Great Shot (19). It might be a mistake that I have so many (coz I'm usually average on GC rankings), or people just aren't playing this game. Not sure...

I'm only a level 20 Minigolf Whiz at the moment as well. Can't wait to sink in many more hours.

Pretty sure* they're "fake" (seem to be local) world records which is a shame, would be nice to compare to others.

*well, by sure I mean certain. Just to compare, my world record on longest great shot is 38, and 37 without irons, I'm not sure whether to be ashamed of my 598 cards played without a mistake! You have got me on longest descending great shot though, just got 18 on that

The Helicopter Game just came out on iOS. Remember that from Seethru? There have been plenty of clones of it on iOS but they're all shit. Every single one of them screws up the physics.

This one looks like it's just a direct port of the Flash game.

Unfortunately, it's nothing to do with the original creators of the game. It's free and the original creators said they had no plans to release it on iOS, but still a bit dodgy. The main problem though is that while the physics are nice, it runs at about 3fps on my 3GS.

So overall, when you see this top the free charts, don't bother.

There's a trophy on Fairway Solitaire that says "set five different world records". I've got like eight and it hasn't unlocked. Anyone else managed to get it? Brilliant game though, as everyone says.

Also, thanks to whoever recommended The Lost City, playing it now and it's a beaut.

I've just had a go at the full 29 minute soundtrack to the Amiga demo Jesus on Es on Beat Hazard Ultra. Fuck me. I only managed 27% but my multiplier was past 200 and I cracked my first million. Epic, epic fun. Best twin stick shooter I've played in a long time but my thumb is sore now.

The Game is out in New Zealand. It should be out in US at about 11 PM EST and Europe at around 12 AM UK time. Size of the app is 648 MB.

Price in NZ is $22.99 which should translate to USD $17.99 (guess)
