In Enscripted, I can't see any quotes earlier than Feb 1, is there something I'm missing?

When you download the app, you get that day's quote, and the quotes for seven days before it. So if you just downloaded it the other day, you'd only have from February 1st. If you didn't, then something's gone wrong. I'm still seeing all the quotes from when I started.

Kryptonian:

If you've got "we," then the four letter word that ends in "ew" doesn't have many possibilities.

If you get that word, you should be able to get half the first word in the title.

See if they get you anywhere. Sorry, I don't want to be too clear or blatant, or you won't feel like you solved it and it'll probably bug you! It'd bug me if it happened to me.

That sucks :( I've finished all the quotes I've got and the only reason I can't play the earlier ones is because I didn't buy it early enough? Is there a technological reason behind it? I can't imagine the filesize would be too large to download them.

Just got the 30-point word achievement on Quarrel with QUAGMIRE. Only the second time I've seen a set of letters that would make one - first time there was BLIZZARD but I only had 3 men. Just need to take a few more prisoners and stick with the daily challenges and I'll have the set. Great game.

You will be able to play the other ones! It's just that you'll unlock one next year on January 31st, where other people got one on Jan 31st this year, etc. There are 366 quotes in the app and you unlock one a day for 366 days, doesn't really matter when you start, you will get all the quotes eventually.

It only gives you the previous 7 days when you download it to get you started.

I see, so they're not actually adding quotes to the game, just cycling through a list of quotes over the course of a year? I'm not sure how I feel about such a drip-feed method of accessing the game's content, but then, I only paid 69p for it so with that perspective I already got my money's worth. I'd gladly pay another 69p to unlock them all at once or to add an additional 366 to the cycle so I get 2 a day instead.

I can see why you'd want all the content, but I quite like it how it is. I think if you had them all accessible at once you'd probably storm through a bunch and then get bored and stop. Having one to do every day keeps them kinda fresh. As I said before, too, I like that we've all got the same one puzzle to solve a day, so if someone's struggling we're all there to help them because we're all doing the same puzzle at the same time.

You could just let the app sit there until next year and then solve them all at once ;)

pixelogic is a cool picross app that releases a puzzle a day. Should have about 3 years worth of content ontop of its initial set by now.

But I want it NOOOOOOOOOOWW.

Seriously though, I think the one a day thing is really cool for the reasons you give. I just think it could benefit from having more than 7 other puzzles to play with after you'd finished the daily one, and I'd be willing to pay for it.

The ability to create and share quotes would be really cool and doesn't sound too hard either.

I hated Wooords.

Confirmed for drunk.

If anyone is interested in anything other than Enscripted these days, Rebuild is very nice indeed, and a steal at 69p. It's been mentioned already here, a sort of Zombie management-up, curiously charming and capable of taking you by surprise. I managed to turn a city of hardened, unassailable zombie killers who were at 100% happiness and overflowing with food into a suicidal death cult. Go me!

Rebuild sounds interesting. Are there any IAP things or is it genuinely just 69p?

Wooords just didn't grab me. I didn't particularly like the presentation because it made it incredibly unclear as to whether a letter was part of a word or two pixels away from the word. I also didn't really understand why I could play about five words and set a high score and the game stopped, and then I could carry on and make the score increase more. It's just a game full of weird design choices and the core game (make words from a random group of letters) just isn't that exciting. There are so many better word games on iOS. SpellTower and WordJong among them.

No IAPs in Rebuild, no.

There are different modes in Wooords, the one you're talking about is the Daily Challenge which personally I don't play, it's all about the levels for me. It's very different to SpellTower, but easily as good...and SpellTower isn't free of design faults. Wooords is more about speed than SpellTower (in most modes).

I haven't played Wooords on iPhone though, only the pad. SpellTower works well on both, but on the pad you don't get any issues with it not detecting letter linking, or not that I've noticed.

Installing Rebuild now, cheers rumblecat!

I'm still loving the asynchronous games on iOS though Disc Drivin' appears to have dropped off in use from everyone I play with. Same with Poker Pals. If anyone still plays these regularly, I'm always up for games - username is same as on here.

Same goes for Ticket To Ride and Hero Academy which I'm loving at the moment. Anyone need a game in those, feel free to add me.

Finished the free chapters of Ghost Trick early this morning so I've ponied up for the rest so I can carry on with it on my night-shift tonight.

4227 on Jetpack! What a cracking, and unexpected, run.

6 spin tokens too and no second chance or blast - then a few runs later I get 2 second chances. Grr.

Still third on my leader board and I'm arse at these games so woo :D
