Working on the last three 2-letter words...

I've made a list of all the 2-letter words that are in common use. The first two of the words in the quote begin with the same letter, so I narrowed that down to a, b, m, u, o or i because they were the only ones with more than one common 2-letter word. I then ruled out a, m and u because none of the 2-letter words could form part of a grammatically correct sentence. I then made a list of the ones that could form a grammatically correct sentence, and the 2-letter words that could follow it.

So those last three words, I am pretty sure, are one of these combinations:

be by me/us/it

or of it/us/me

or on it/us/me

it is me/he/on/up

is in me

Some are more likely than others. To be honest, it still hasn't been that helpful. The quote is so short there are hardly any repeated letters so even working out those last three words won't help that much. Not really sure where to go from here though.

I did that already too. You can do a as well but it doesn't really make sense

as an ox?

but yeah I still don't know where do go with those possibilities

Anyway, today's one was far too easy the film title gives it all away!

Jetpack Joyride question. I've collected coins but don't seem to have been able to keep them. And I got a 1000 gold jackpot in the spin. And yeah, no coins left to spend on anything :(

No idea. They should just be there for you in The Stash. Reinstall?

Deeply annoyed I still can't install FlickPig on this free weekend :/

One of those is correct, if you need a hint, albeit quite a oblique one,

Decided I do like Off The Leash, but I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to keep playing it.

I basically have a problem with the timed checkpoint mechanic. Even without hitting any obstacles, I always, always seem to run out of time at around the 800m mark. Maybe if I get a bit better at the game I could last a little bit longer, but I doubt it. If I use a whistle, I can get to about 1400m then I inevitably start hitting stuff.

It just seems like the only way to viably continue is to upgrade to one of the dogs with better stats.... which means playing it for aaaages, or stumping up cash. I much prefer Jetpack Joyride in the way that yes, ultimately I die, but it's through hitting something, not running out of time because my character's not fast enough. You can spend money in JJ, but it doesn't make you do better at the game, it's optional.

I do like the style of OTL, though, so it's got some play left in it yet... just not sure how much.

Looks like the print edition isn't dying in the true sense of the word, just.. well... becoming like a bookazine probably.

And yes, I hate that word too.

What’s happening?

We’re really excited about what we can do with our app edition of the magazine, so we’re changing things around a bit. After the next issue (14, March), you’ll still be able to buy a version of Tap! magazine in the shops, but it’ll be an even bigger issue published every two months, and you can’t subscribe to it.

We’ll be making the regular monthly app edition even more awesome, though, and you can subscribe to that on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. (To begin with, only the iPad edition will be our rich, interactive edition, with simple PDF editions for the smaller devices, but that’ll soon change!)

Reckless Racing 2 is out! This may have already been discussed in the thread, but I’ve only just seen it. Anyway, it’s great – very much like the first one, except with a proper career mode, where you can buy and sell cars and upgrade them. The feel of it (and especially the music) really reminds me of classic Amiga driving games, like Supercars 2 and, erm, Supercars 1.

The only issue is that it seems quite unstable – it’s crashed a few times on me. Still, they should hopefully update it pretty soon.

Yeah so it now appears, the letter literally says none of that, on a 2nd read it doesn't sue the word "close" but it doesn't mention a continuing paper edition at all.

Presumably they hate money. I don't have an iPad and I never go into smiths any more so they've almost certainly lost me for a start. I thought subscriptions usually paid for magazines.

Yep, love it. I haven't had any crashes on 4S, but on iPad 1, it's very common - so don't play it on that.

Great game - beefed up from the original.

The Pinball Arcade is coming out later on today. I've had my eye on it for a while, it's looking good and should complement Zen Pinball nicely. First few tables include Theatre of Magic, Ripleys Believe it or Not, and Tales Of The Arabian Nights. Looks like its being released on XBLA, PSN and Android down the line as well.

Today? Fantastic. I hope it plays well. I've been waiting for this.

Yeah, it's the same problem Forever Drive has. The starting dog/car is no fun to play as, so you have to pay or grind for ages to get the second one which is actually controllable and fun. Bad design.

Also, Off The Leash completely hammers the network and battery on my 3GS. Trying to play it somewhere with no signal makes the framerate spaz out to the point of crashing the phone. I know it's pushing the hardware more than Jetpack, but seriously?

Any "match 3" type game recommendations? I rinsed Puzzle Quest on the DS, but PQ2 seems to have gotten mixed reviews. Similarly, I enjoyed Dungeon Raid, for a fair while, but then felt a little too much relied on luck.

Zookeeper's pretty nice if you haven't played that.

Grisly Manor is currently free.

Point and click style which isn't too taxing and looks lovely.

Interface is so simple you can whizz about between scenes rather than stroll at 2 miles an hour like Broken Sword(which drives me nuts).

Defo worth a look.

This is right up my street, thanks for the heads up.

I don't know, I think Off The Leash's delightful style earns it far more time than it deserves. There's barely any skill involved, and the control isn't that good.

Doesn't bear mentioning in the same breath as JJ for me, and I'm baffled as to why Elmo described it as a more skilful Jetpack Joyride. The opposite would be more correct.

There's a lot you can do with that style of tilt control, as Temple Run demonstrates, but OTL isn't it.

Completely disagree. It seems a little unskilful at first but the more you play the more the game clicks.

The idea is to level up. When you get to level 6 it all goes a bit insane. The whole system is built on levelling up and there are no insta-deaths like there are in JJ (which i love too)

It's a great little game.
