Yuji Naka's FlickPig is supposed to be free this weekend, but it didn't let me download it earlier for some reason.

Really liking Off The Leash. It's no Jetpack Joyride but having 20+ dogs rampaging through the scene and the Greg Mitchell style giant paw are somehow hilarious.

I don't know, I think Off The Leash's delightful style earns it far more time than it deserves. There's barely any skill involved, and the control isn't that good.

Doesn't bear mentioning in the same breath as JJ for me, and I'm baffled as to why Elmo described it as a more skilful Jetpack Joyride. The opposite would be more correct.

There's a lot you can do with that style of tilt control, as Temple Run demonstrates, but OTL isn't it.

To whoever recommended I download Enscripted, I hate you.

I've deleted it and reinstalled it 5 times now, because its so fucking hard and makes me feel completely moronic. But I keep coming back to it because my stupid brain keeps telling me, 'come on, its only a film quote and a title, how hard can it be?' But then I open the app, and see the word wsligh gwoi and want to cry in frustration. How do you even know if you swap a word out right?! Plus, having the timer at the bottom right showing you how much time you've spent going NOWHERE is the most soul destroying thing ever.

TL:DR, I'm too arrogant to admit I can't unjumble a film title and quote.

The 4s is up and running! What would people suggest games wise? Anything decent to showcase it?

Infinity Blade. (Check the Epic Citadel tech demo app).

TripleTown is currently free, and is very addictive. Here's a link to what the forum thinks are the best of the best games:

Infinity Blade.

Have to say that although I was impressed enough with the game on the iPad, the thing is bloody amazing on a 4s! Need to get round to finishing it and getting the sequel...

Oh, and Dinobot - Swords and Sworcery. It's bloody amazing.

Me too, though I've got to admit it felt pretty good when I got todays ^_^

Took me a long, long time to get today's - 48 minutes. Every other one has taken me less than ten minutes (I only downloaded it yesterday and went back and did all the previous ones). It's very, very bare-bones - I think it'd benefit from some simple sound effects, for example - but I'll probably keep playing this every day now.

That's the joy of enscripted though - it's ridiculously difficult but when you have that breakthrough moment you feel like the cleverest person in the world for a few moments :)

I'm reinstalling again. :hmm:

Can anyone give me a hint as to the movie or a letter to get the ball rolling for todays 'challenge' (read: mindfuckery)?

Around page 500 of the old thread, people started giving mini-lists of what they thought the "best" games were. I collected together the games they said and got the list below - bear in mind this was August last year, so things have moved on a bit since then (for example, Jetpack Joyride isn't in the list as it's too new, but I think a lot of people here would say you should definitely get it).

ASYNC Corp

You know, Ghost trick is impressive and all but it does have a fairly serious problem I can summerise thusly.

"You can now do a thing"

"I can do a thing?"

"Yes, a thing"

"A thing?"

"Yes"

"I can do a thing!"

"You do the thing like this"

"Like this?"

"Yes, like this"

"I can do this thing like this!"

"Now try doing this thing!"

"Doing this thing?"

"Yes! Hurry because time is ticking down"

"Ticking down?"

"Yes! Time is ticking down? Now hurry"

*allows you to tap something on screen

*cut to another 5 minutes of unskippable dialog largely repeating the above.

I haven't tried it on iOS yet but the DS game is quite similar in terms of hammering home the tutorial. Once it gets it out of its system the rest of the game isn't so bad. :D

Initially the wife and I hated Enscripted, but we stuck at it and we've just finished off the last one. It's certainly difficult, but it's very satisfying when you work it out. To me it's a similar skill to solving some of the word puzzles on the back of the T2. Since I've got them all so far, if anyone wants any clues on any of them just post the date or PM me and I'll spoiler you some.

Just beat yesterday's! I was laughing as it was becoming more clear, excellent. 41 minutes. Today's was easy, only took 3. Just that 300 one again. Still!

Tips for yesterday - not huge ones, you'll still have some work to do:

There are two three letter words that are the same, so look for common three letter words.

That three letter word makes up almost all of a five letter word elsewhere in the quote.

There's a two letter word and a three letter word that use mostly the same letters, so there's not too many candidates for that.

It's funny how it can turn you into a petulant child, I kept jumping from one day to the other in the hope of finding an easy one for my first breakthrough, I've now completed the first 5 and none took me longer than 5mins, but there was a point when I'd spent about 4mins on each and felt like I was nowhere, 20mins of pathetic frustration.

Had a hot streak late last night and cleared the two Enscripted quotes I'd been struggling on, so I'm all up to date now. Satisfying.

Very disappointing to see a typo in the third word of the most recent one, though. You'd think a game that is nothing but words would have someone on proof-reading.

Jetpack Joyride question. I've collected coins but don't seem to have been able to keep them. And I got a 1000 gold jackpot in the spin. And yeah, no coins left to spend on anything :(

Got them all except for the 300 one now...clocked up 50 minutes on it so far , mostly just brute force trying letters....

Working on the last three 2-letter words...

I've made a list of all the 2-letter words that are in common use. The first two of the words in the quote begin with the same letter, so I narrowed that down to a, b, m, u, o or i because they were the only ones with more than one common 2-letter word. I then ruled out a, m and u because none of the 2-letter words could form part of a grammatically correct sentence. I then made a list of the ones that could form a grammatically correct sentence, and the 2-letter words that could follow it.

So those last three words, I am pretty sure, are one of these combinations:

be by me/us/it

or of it/us/me

or on it/us/me

it is me/he/on/up

is in me

Some are more likely than others. To be honest, it still hasn't been that helpful. The quote is so short there are hardly any repeated letters so even working out those last three words won't help that much. Not really sure where to go from here though.
