EDIT: Also, if you're in there editing files I'm guessing you can also use iexplore to unlock the panorama photo stitching on the iphone as well.

I didn't notice much change in the frame-rate, although I'm on the second island where the frame rate chugs a little at times anyway. Haven't had it rain yet so that'll be the big test... apparently this one is the best to download so far... I've just put it in and so far it's been fine- haven't noticed any difference, seems as smooth as the proper version. I'd copy the original gta.set anyway so if you don't like it you can always switch back.

I can't see that it's already been mentioned but the CAVE games are on sale starting today including Bug Panic down to 69p, the rest are still a few quid but still have good discounts.

It's a prologue to Dead Space 2, with a different character and storyline. I've not played any of the console versions, but it felt like a very convincing RE4-esque adventure shackled to dual-stuck touchscreen controls that are excellent as far as that control scheme goes, but still kind of fiddly. Well worth a go IMO.

Also Ticket to Ride - been playing a lot of this with my wife, both pass and play on the iPhone/iPad, and also one separate iPhone/iPads in the same room. Great game!

Radballs is free until Christmas. It's a great tetris-esque game with a cool soundtrack, I'd really recommend it.

Probably missing out, but I don't have the space to have a game like that* take up hundreds of MB on my phone. It *feels* like it should be under 20MB and yet somehow is 160MB to download.

(*For some reason I've developed this mindset whereby a game I can play for a couple of minutes here and there has to be quite small, and if something's that big it needs to offer something less throwaway in terms of gameplay, like GTA or something.)

I'm not really too fussed. Whilst it might be an interesting novelty, I doubt many arcade titles are going to be particularly playable on an iOS device unless you have one of those iCade things.

Actually, isn't today the shut-off day for App Store changes over Christmas? I wonder if that prevents stuff being taken down as well as added/updated.

It would be amazing if MAME managed to sneak in before the lock, and stayed up until after Christmas.

King Cashing, I bid thee farewell. No, I'm not deleting it - just hiding it in a folder so I'm not compelled to play it every time I scroll past my 'games' page.

Boasts:

1) Gold on every level.

2) Fastest time to finish all stages (except ragdolls) = 58 days.

3) Got 40 of 47 achievements.

So, before I file this wonderful game away, has anyone got any tips for the following achievements?

1) Book Worm - Get 20 'Worn Magic Book of Wood'. So far I've got 8 after repeatedly winning the first battle. Is there a better way to do this?

2) Bonus Hoarder - Get one of each bonus item. I don't see this being an easy one to get, I've been saving everything I come across but not having some kind of master 'list' of everything that you're looking for makes it terribly random.

3) Weapon Hoarder - Get one of each weapon. See number 2.

4) Chest Triplet - get 3 matching chests on 1 line. I've only got two matching chests (gold) with high-ish star rating (3*), so it's extremely hard to get this to come up.

5) Combo Maker - Have a full combo on all 3 lines. WHAT? REALLY?! How is this even possible?! Have three characters on the first reel, three weapons on the second, and three baddies on the third. Reels 1 and 3 I can get... but reel 2? Any ideas anyone?

6) Overkill - With an enemy at 1HP kill it with a critical. I figure this is likely going to be random.

7) Unique Hoarder - have all 9 unique weapons. I've got the three you get from the ragdolls, but what else are the unique weapons?

Thanks for any advice! I love this game so much I'm wanting to wring every last bit of enjoyment out of it
