My top word so far is 399 points...DOGGERS

What's the difference between mobile modes and not? Just means on phone rather than iPad? I'm second in the world at the mo on the mobile Tower mode, only a couple of thousand players though so I guess I'll drop down soon enough.

EDIT: Hang on, you can't be on my friends list then. Add me ZOK 167

Yeah that seemed strange, think it's iPhone/iPad as you said.

I like puzzle mode, it gets genuinely tactical at times.

I managed to get 602 out of RETAXED...if only it would have let me use RETAXIED, I'd be laughing! Stupid 'must be a real word' rule!

I hate the moment where you suddenly see a beautiful word, and then realise the tiles don't link up. I nearly had SQUIDGERS at one point.

Yeah, I've been playing it since Thursday. I've played all of the Footy Man Handheld titles. Love em. Tried the PC version last year, but I just don't have the time to plough into it, so Handheld version is perfect.

There's a few new bits and bobs - but as SI state, they go for "evolution, not revolution".

Playing Theme Park reminded me how much I want a theme park styled game, and how much I don't want one driven by in app purchases.

Is there such a thing on iPhone?

The closest in terms of game desuign (rather than theme/setting) would be the Kairosoft games, something like Pocket Academy. None of them are really especially similar at all though.

Kairosoft need to get a Theme Park Story done to be honest, I'd be all over that.

According to the free app hero twitter feed King Cashing is free at the moment. It's an endless stream of rpg fights. There are items and levelling up but all the fights are done on a slot machine. As you progress you earn more and more ways to tweak the odds in the fight game. It's a little tough at first but eventually it gets very satisfying. Very big on that one more go thing.

Guys can you do a top ten of ipad games? Or stuff along lines of Machinerium or Sword and Sworcery?

iPad games I have enjoyed:

Galaxy on Fire 2, which is a space exploration, combat, and trading type game:

Real Racing HD 2:

Anomaly Warzone Earth HD, which is a Tower Offence game, as opposed to Tower Defence:

Dark Meadow, which is an action adventure type thing in a spooky hospital:

Rage HD, very cut down version but enjoyable in its own right I think:

Tiger Woods 2012. I don't like Golf IRL. I do like this:

You may also enjoy Dead Space, as I know how much you loved the full console games. Or that might mean you hate it I suppose. I filed it under "Impressive, but shite controls", your mileage may vary.

Obviously Zombie Gunship is amazingly addictive and now a Universal App. Until recently I would have thought it impossible to dislike this game, but there's always one or two.

I love the iPad.

I have to admit that I love Skyrim but I'm getting so much gaming pleasure out of my iPad its amazing. I didn't expect it to become one of my main gaming machines but it is!

Took my iPad to bed at 10pm expecting to have a quick go, and then an early night for once.

Exited FM2012 to see the time 1:20!

I always found the PC version overwhelming but I love the handheld version.

Couldn't agree more, it's like it's back ri the days of championship 01/02 for me. Which had the right amount of depth, now the pc version just seems so over the top on stats training and everything (spending way to long setting things up rather the actually playing the games). The handheld version on the iPad/iPhone is just the right amount of pick up and play for me.

I read it's (FM 2012) a bit laggy with retina enabled on the Iphone 4 (rather than 4s) , any truth to this?

Can't say I have noticed.

I played it on a iPhone 4 most of the day and continued my game on a iPad 2 last night.

It's quicker on the iPad 2 but I wouldnt go as far to say laggy on the 4.
