Ticket to Ride is now out for the iPhone (was Pad only up to now). It's good, and cheap (69p), but lacks online multiplayer. which is a shame. does have local and pass-and-play options, though.

Ticket to ride in your pocket, to play against ais, or pass and play when stuck on the bus with a friend is so very, very, very worth 69p.

If you've wondered what this board game thing that's getting popular is, buy it. Love it. Then get carcassonne. And fall down the rabbit hole to unplugged

Recommending Zonr.

Really simple game, you have 90 seconds, you have to find the biggest zone you can in each grid. Get it right, you get points and move on and your combo increases. Get it wrong and your multiplier goes down.

So yeah, simple, but it plays great, has awesome presentation and awesomer music, and oh, is FREE.

EDIT: It has a ton of different themes, too. It really is very good.

The music on this is fantastic. Has a real Nintendo vibe to it, great game as well!

very basic at the moment and not worth £4.99

Yeah, cash in on the millions existing userbase who'll pay the £4.99, then when you've squeezed the juice out of that, reduce it and get the added publicity each time. £1.99 by Christmas.

Picked up EA's Fight Night Champion the other day for a few pennies. Just played my first 3 fights and loving the controls. Really nice and satisfying when you land a nice combo. I'm hoping the defensive side will become a little more tactical - at the moment I just dodge or block randomly - but I would definitely recommend it on what I've seen so far.

Yeah, the music's lovely. Too lovely in fact, I get distracted by it and wanting to make every move in time just to hear those chiming chords. I'd happily shell out for a Zonr Music Maker...

Russian Dancing Men has gone free. The game is basically Vib Ribbon with songs like Magical Trevor in it.

Can someone explain what the source of all this is to me please? I recognise things from it like the tune for Magical Trevor, but only because it's on that 118 247 advert (it's directory heaven), and I saw Cheeko's avatar in the game, and someone else has the badger one?

It's all annoyingly catchy.

Can anyone recommend a few good apps for a four year old girl? We've got a £15 voucher so a few paid one is fine. She's got -

Doughnut maker

Cupcake maker

My Horse

Dinosaur colouring

Some Hello Kitty Game

A couple of Wiggles games

Some phonics/flashcard games.

Anyone know of a game that's like those wooden mazes with the ball bearing you had as a kid?

Thanks

Cut The Rope and Where's My Water are firm favourites with my 3.5yr old.

For anyone with an Ipad one of my all time favorite Amiga games has been released for it by the original programmer...

Genesia - The Seven Gems of Neort

Its an isometric strategy game with a really superb atmosphere. You start off with literally a few people, assign them jobs and slowly build up your village. You get seriously attached to your guys and get completely sucked into looking after them, and helping them survive and prosper. I'm regretting the decision of getting a Xoom purely on this games availability. If you've got a fiver to spare, have a look and I reckon you will be pleasantly surprised :)

Did anyone get to try this game out!? Sorry to bump my own post, but I loved the original game and would love some impressions on this I pad version.

All my friends seem to be bringing out kids' apps for the iPad at the moment:

Happily Ever After

A collection of simple, puzzle-book style puzzles (hidden object, spot the difference, etc.) with nice artwork. There's no Lite version afaik but there's a PC version with a demo.

My Note Games

A music practice aid that uses the iDevice's microphone to detect the player's musical instrument (or voice). It's free (the 'advanced' lessons are IAP if you decide to use it properly).

That isn't an Evony style game where you have to spend masses of real cash to play is it? Because if it isn't I'm going to try that.
