i fiddled with Scribblenauts for about 5 minutes and haven't touched it since. i figured it would be completely overhyped and was right; the content generation thing is so limited, it gets boring after a few attempts. there's not a great deal of variety in objects you can create, and only the most rudimentary interaction between them (a doctor can cure a sick person, a pilot will get into a plane, etc.)

What exactly were you expecting?

I did use it to solve the Polar Bear Vs Gorilla argument, and it demonstrated that the Gorilla (surprisingly) would beat the Polar Bear. Which in my opinion was worth the asking price alone.

I got Scribblenauts Remix, and it's mostly infuriating. I've used a youtube walkthrough already. It's obtuse as fuck. I got stuck on a level where I did the exact right things but for some reason it didn't work -- I tried everything to make flowers grow: watering can, rain (storm), rain (drop), hosepipe -- things the walkthrough said worked fine.

Had to get a guy across a lake. Would he get on the large raft I made? No. He would fall into the water every time. Large boat? Even I couldn't find a way to ride that. Walkthrough: "Large bridge". Fucking game.

10 minutes wondering how to make a lion go to sleep. The last clue: "It needs to be night time." How the fuck do I make it night time?? I tried a time machine, but that just made the level restart. The walkthrough: "Moon". FFS. Yes that makes total sense, make a moon and it becomes night time   because the moon can never be seen in daylight in real life can it?

Bury a corpse properly. Hmm, in real life I'd probably put the corpse in a coffin before putting the coffin in the ground, but Scribblenauts doesn't like that. Then if you touch the coffin after you put the corpse in it, both the corpse and his ghost pop out, and the ghost kills the corpse to death.

I'm not getting on with this.

Is 'Large Bridge' so unreasonable? Just admit you've not got the patience for it.

How long was it from when you bought the game to when you watched the youtube walkthrough, was it even an hour before you went crying and moaning to the internet to solve your worldly troubles?

Be grateful it isn't a text adventure where you'd puzzle over something for days on end and discuss it with others until you made the breakthrough solution, you're missing out on the true pleasure of puzzle solving.

Scribblenauts for 69p? Why thank you!

Good price, happy with what i paid though, I get enough freebies its about time a dev got some of my money ;)

Hopefully this drop means they are pushing sales at a chheaper price to get us for DLC or IAP extra level packs

I created a Ninja with a guitar & a Friendly Hippo. As soon as I put a pirate on the screen the Ninja rode the hippo over the pirate until he died, all while wailing on his sweet guitar!

Now THAT'S Real Ultimate Power!

Nah it's a straight conversion with sprites instead of 3D models. I'd actually say the touch controls aren't bad and are very lenient and ultras and supers can be done with easy input. I'm slowly working my way through all the characters on grueling difficulty.

King of FIghters is also very good but I haven't put much time into that one.
