Few more Scribblenauts pics:

This is a giant clown and dalmation trying to survive in a zombie apocalypse while I fly about in my suit of armor...

Loving Scribblenauts, gonna play this all evening - only disappointment is that the achievements seem very erratic, which is a shame as they seem like really fun ones. Can't get the "apply 8 adjectives to an object" one, for example, even after I used a small red smelly stupid fat angry thirsty wooden dog to complete one of the levels.

Dont think Gta controls look all that bad, it's just not helped that he is doing it one handed while holding a camera to film it,

The problem with any non-tactile controls is that it's too easy to press the wrong thing, or miss it completely. Virtual pads are a huge turn off for me. I think iOS ganes will improve massively once developers start supporting proper Bluetooth pads. Until then i'll avoid anything that uses a virtual pad.

I'm playing Ready Steady Bang, which is a very nicely put together cowboy standoff themed reaction-test game. 1 or 2 players, with a cowboy at each end of the screen and a countdown in the middle, which cycles through Ready - Steady - Bang: at which point you tap your half of the screen to draw.

I'm playing 1 player at the moment, and I' worried that I've reached my physical limit at ~0.230s draw speed. The last outlaw in the game has a reaction time of 0.150s! One time I managed 0.07s but I think that was a slip of the thumb.

What?! Why? It's utterly fantastic.

Allow me to answer that.

The problem with 2 is that the career mode is a touch grindy and it locks too much away until you've completed too many races.

I actually don't mind this too much on a console but on a 5 minute gaming time device it means that a lot of people, me included, basically miss 90% of the game.

Either way, if you're not interested in Real Racing 2 enough to have bought it already, you might as well get 1, especially for that price.

Another World in the iPad is very nice and worth the cash... I've had to go with the virtual pad though, as the swipy touch controls were fine for a while but anything requiring some precision jumping, like when you drain the waterfall, became an exercise in tedious frustration.

I don't really like Scribblenauts. The sandbox bit is fun but the actual levels are dull dull dull and the controls are horrible. A lot of the levels are just basically 'think of 3 things you need for a party/heist/school', a glorified word test. And a lot of the objects don't actually do anything, or you can't use them in the way you want. It's impressive in a way, but the scope is so vast that the limitations just become immediately apparent.

That's hardly justification for not getting it "even if it was free".

I do most of my iPad gaming in 1.5 hour chunks on the train anyway, so I didn't notice any grinding at all. Just fast, addictive racing, with awesome controls and graphics.

Indeed.

I'm loving Land-a Panda right now, got it when it went free, and it still seems to be free so grab it as soon as you can.

Reminds me a lot of the barrel sections of Donkey Kong Country but a whole puzzle game made out of that. I've 100%'d the first two worlds and they keep adding new elements to learn.

Also, because I'm a Joypod listener, I went and downloaded Piyo Blocks 2 for 69p. I downloaded the first one and it was a good Zoo Keeper clone but this has thrown everything at it and has lots of value for 69 whole pence.

Game breaking bug in Another World... There's a bit in The Palace, where you need to hold a guy at gunpoint which forces him to bring down some security doors, you then whizz up, kill a bast and then teleport down to a circuit thing on the wall, which you shoot... On doing this, it should open a hole in the floor in a previous room... But it doesn't, and I'm stuck.

Bag o wank.

Never played AW before and for all it's frustrating Dragon Lair gameplay I was quite enjoying it up till now.

Either this bug is there for everyone and no one has played the game long enough to find it, or it's just happened to me.

Can't stop playing Tiger Woods. There's so much game there for, well, free. Any game where you amass cash by playing better, which enables you to upgrade, which enables you to play better etc, gets my vote. See also Zombie Gunship.

Talking of which, that had an update a little while ago. You can now buy extra civilian "lives".

I'm rather obsessed with Tiger Woods also. Working nights, it gets me through the awful 3-5 period better than any other game I have. Probably because it's a bit mire sedate than for example, monsters ate my condo, which whilst a good game, boggles my head in the night.

Nope, you're doing it wrong if it's the bit I'm thinking of. The hole in the floor is opened by grenades which are bounced down the stairs.

You're looking at screen 8 onwards here;

RAGE...

I thought I was being skill by killing the guy before he threw his grenade at me.

thanks! Back to adventure.

I wasn't justifying that statement, look at the source for how likely that is to be accurate but I do think it's supportable that 2 is worse than 1.

Yeah, you can play a hole, leave it, come back, play another hole. Only thing about it that annoys me is that it crashes a bit too frequently, and it's a bit fussy about when it lets you play your iPod.

Finished Another World... The touch controls are awful, so play with the virtual pad. Worth playing through though. Needed to use a guide in a few places. In the days before the Internet I would have broken my computer as a result of this game.

Defeated that bugger in Infinity blade! Took me to bloodline 6. Annoyingly the game seems to gave sound issues on the latest iOS, so I didn’t get to hear any of the dialogue etc so I had no idea what was going on. Can someone give me the low down? I assume its something to do with the bad guy returning more powerful than I could possibly imagine?

Im happy to keep playing anyway as I want to get my hands on some of the sexier stuff, although it does seem some of that is only available if you buy coins as they are ridiculously priced.

This game looks amazing on the 4S, and is smooth as butter, cant wait for infinity blade 2!

I have played this for hours and its never crashed?
