Someone's going to have to explain how to get to the last level in Spider. I've found all the *mumblemumble* and activated all the things that should need activating, but still nothing happens in the last room when I *mumblemumble*. I've been using level select, is it safe for me to assume that I have to activate all the things on one playthrough?

To answer my own question, yes, you have to get everything right secret-wise on a single playthrough and you can't double back to a level you screwed up.

What a marvellous bit of storytelling that game has. I'd love to see more of that.

Wow, Katamari Adore runs like an absolute dog on my iPad 1. Most disappointing.

That's a shame, runs okay on the iPhone4. Controls are little bit tricky, as touch controls can be, but it was decent enough to make me shell out for the first expansion pack. Although faintly ridiculous that I spent at least ten minutes debating whether or not to shell out £2.49 for it (which feels like £100 or so in iOS game money) when I bought the PSP game for ten times the price and much less enjoyment.

The new* puzzler by Mobigames (who did Edge), a multitouch block-slidey affair called Cross Fingers that seems pretty nice at first glance, is currently free.

Works sort of like Tanzen/Zentomino crossed with one of those block puzzles you get with a 9x9 grid picture you need to re-order.

Sorry, that's a terrible explaination, but I suppose it's at least ballpark!

Anyway, only played the early levels, but it seems like it works well and that there's potential for fiendishness there.

* to me and me alone, apparently. I even thought that I should've checked the release date before I posted.

Tried the free version, did rubbish with the touch controls but then I turned on gyro controls and it made the game a hundred times better. In my opinion anyway, worth a try! :)

Blimey, katamari amore is such a chore to play on iphone it is void of any fun factor.

Which control type are you using? The tilt control seems okay, but not quite flexible enough, and I couldn't get the single virtual-stick method to work so I'm going to try the double-stick instead. I wouldn't say it's devoid of fun, but it does seem much more awkward than previous Katamaris.

I'm using single stick myself- it's not perfect but gets the Prince around decently enough. The Pac Man mini game was a bit of a disappointment... overall it's been alright for a bit of fun but can't see myself buying any of the further expansion packs.

Everyone should buy this. Everyone.

There are some new tracks for Groove Coaster, not sure if they're IAP because I haven't updated yet, but the wording of the update suggests they're free.

Downloaded the update, couldn't find the new tracks in game or in the IAP menu. Anyone have any lucky?

Now I have changed to the Tilt control it feels better. Still too awkward but at least I can play and finish a level now with a good rating.

Game Dev Story is EATING MY MIND. I keep thinking I’ll play it for 5 minutes while I’m watching something on TV/waiting for things/having a shit then I realise that hours have passed and my legs have gone dead. I’m genuinely not sure which console to develop for next, the Super IES is being discontinued and I’ve only ever developed for Intendro platforms, but I’ve got a bad feeling about the GameBox. On the upside Fame Slave (my pop star music game) is my first hall of fame title, and my followup Ninja RPG “Paedo Ninja” was number one in the charts on its first week, which is nice as it’s going to be my last Super IES game.

Does this have it’s own thread? I think I need one.
