Is this borked for iPhone 4? It won't let me complete the training mission...standing by the heirloom doesn't return it to the village, even though that's what it tells you to do.

It does work, the heirloom detection seems to be off though, try moving around near it / standing right on top of it. Just being inside the circle doesn't seem to count.

It's not time I even notice. It takes about one minute or less to cycle through my whole tower and stock everything, and that's time I'm spending waiting for a game to load, or waiting for the kettle to boil or various other times where if it weren't for Tiny Tower, I'd be doing nothing at all. I don't sit playing it for hours at a time.

I could give up any time I want ;)

Don't miss this spiffy Out Run clone while it's briefly free:

http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/final-freeway/id383026661?mt=8

(Sensible people would know this already from following http://twitter.com/#!/FreeAppHero)

That's really good Stu. Cheers. I bet it'd play even better with iCade support.

Has anyone tried Minter's new one yet? Despite him always calling it Goat Goes Up if you search for that on the app store you won't find it. Search for Goatup or Llamasoft instead. He's changed the name for some reason. I like it but I'm having trouble getting a handle on the inertia in the controls. I suspect it'll be much easier with a stick. Shame he's decided to release iCade support for that last

So this is not so good. It looks incredibly slick and you progress through levels, so at first I got really excited, but the game is really slow and boring. It's like a Vs version of Dungeon Raid, but because you can't help matching say the three coins available to you, you end up gifting a set of matching swords to the CPU, or vice versa, and so you end up tit for tatting endlessly. I think the rules are slightly broken as well, as sometimes you can leave the board with no matchable tiles, so the game resets it.

I might be missing something, but even so it lacks the immediate hook of Dungeon Raid.

I think the problem with this one is it needs different difficulty levels. As it stands the AI always seems to play perfectly which as you say tends to end in either quick defeat or endless tit for tat. I got to level 2 of the dungeon last night and hit a mob I just couldn't manage to take down (Seriously. I was about 30 minutes into the game).

That's why I wondered if I was missing something. Quite often you only have one move available, clearing 4 shields say. But that may well allow five swords to fall into place, which in the single player Dungeon Raid would be what you'd clear for your next go. But in this your opponent gets to use those, so it's total pot luck who gets to attack.

It's a shame, as it looks sweet and seems to have loads of progression, spells etc.

Has anyone taken the plunge on King of Dragon Pass.

Toucharcade described it as a mixture between Civilisation and Choose Your Own Adventure.

Looks like my kind of game but its £6.99.

I did. It's fantastic. Much, much deeper than it originally appears too.

Goat Goes Up update. For some strange reason I'm finding it much easier to control with tilt controls. Quite a surprise that.

Different difficulty levels would fix that. Give the AI a chance to miss the perfect move sometimes. As it is now it's just frustrating and almost totally reliant on luck for most moves.

Yeah cos writing 140 characters on twitter is the same as writing 300 ish words and taking screenshots and uploading to app

Who said he had to write 300 words, check the quick apps section.

If he is not updating the app then why continue to flog it on the twitter account?

I don't care about the money I spent on the app but to then continue providing the information on twitter & continue selling the app with no new updates is a bit low.

The app description needs updating to be more honest certainly. And I hope it is updated ASAP to indicate it has recommendations for 100's of free apps but is no longer updated with new ones.

The twitter thing is obviously free...

I had nearly a year worth of good reviews and good apps for my 59p so I'm happy...

As I say get that description updated and all is above board.

I have spent a few minutes standing flipping everywhere, to no avail.

Does the white moving circle change at all to indicate that you are in the right place?

I don't how easy or difficult it is to do but can't the tweets just be linked into the apps?

Anyhow got to agree with you I've got my money's worth out of the app.

Back to Appshopper now.

Dunno but Stu has never claimed to be a techie genious so I am guessing that has a lot to do with it ;)

Also the app was developed by a third party and they may/will charge him to change the way it works I assume and if his sales are low it won't be worth the cost

Given that it's about a twentieth as much work, yes.

The app description was amended a little while ago to note the new status, but has taken some time to appear. I've re-done it this morning just in case something got lost.

Good man, now get back to tweeting about those freebies :)

Contre Jour is incredible still, onto the ending of the final world and there's some incredibly well thought-out puzzles. I downloaded SUper Monkey Ball 2 the other day (for the iPad2) and the controls are awful, is Chu Chu Rocket worth getting? Been put off Sega by this...!

The 546MB will be the download size, the actual installed size being double that or more wouldn't be particularly unusual.

Needed to free up 1.4 gig in the end! Bloody hell! Downloaded and deleted. Save that for another time. Or whenever I sort all the shit on my phone out.
