It's amazing isn't it?

Now i just wish that more iphone specific games would be compatible. I downloaded Sideways Racing which is compatible and quite enjoyable, but I wish games like SF4 Volt would jump on the bandwagon as well.

Let's hope this trend becomes the norm.

It's really well constructed. Microswitches, 8 buttons, feels sturdy. Luckily stayed on 4.3.3 so I could install MAME.

I've been caning Quarrel, currently second in world for total words made ( and 2nd for 170+ word IQ!) and it's a great game, but the starting order does my nut in. In games of Domination or 2 player versus games you will NEVER get first start position, and it adds at least ten minutes onto games you would otherwise romp through.

I hate cheating AI in games! Still can't stop playing, though...

Bejeweled 2 is free until Sunday morning.

I deleted it without even playing it 'cause of the Facebook stuff but it could be worth having in your purchase history in case they ever update with Game Center.

If you mean posting to Facebook it won't unless you allow it to.

It's a wonderful game, but it is so heavily weighted towards the player going first. In a four-player game, you can be practically wiped out before you've started and it's not necessarily your fault.

It's not killing it for me, because up to and including the Prof I can generally win without going first anyway...but I'd just like the chance to have the weighting in my favour for a change. It ekes the game out unnecessarily, as you often have to build a win from a weak position.

Is it a problem with Quarrel or a problem with RISK? Surely that you can make your own words to defend yourself gives you plenty of chance to survive

Have you played it?

And when they've got seven troops and you've got four? It's easy to be put at a disadvantage against a good opponent from the off.

Just gone for 'Contre Jour HD' (Universal) for my iPad. It was £1.99 but looking like it's going to be worth every penny. Stylish graphics similar to Limbo and puzzle aspects similar to Cut the Rope crossed with World of Goo. Oh yeah, it's also got lovely relaxing music.

I think there's also a cheaper non HD version.

THere's a fantastic Advance Wars clone: Great Little War Game.

It's currently on sale for 69p too.

Had a quick blast on it yesterday and its good fun, the "Pass & Play" mode is very cool, you play multiplayer on one Iphone by passing it to the next person once your turn is over.

If anyone fancies a little Geometry Wars "tribute" on their iPhone, I can recommend Infinity Field. OK, it's not so much a tribute as a blatant rip-off, but a very good one at that.

Yeah it's great - even the twin stick controls seem to work without too much view obstruction.

I'm positive this is deliberate because you'd utterly rip the board apart going first - it is very annoying and blatantly obvious. This game needs proper multiplayer so bad it hurts.

Pity to see such low numbers on the leaderboards.

My friends at Supermono Studios have a trailer for their new iOS game, Forever Drive (originally called Drive Forever):

Looks extremely lovely, but doesn't give much of a sense that you are racing, more like you're inching around the track.
