I have a feeling that iCade's are going to become the "Racing Wheels" of the iOS thread.

:P We're just chattin'. Shooting the shit in the gaps between game releases :)

Had an awesome session with Space Harrier on my iCade last night mind. I love that game. Hell. I'd just play it because of the music. Has anyone been playing Phoenix HD? I've never liked a bullet hell shooter in my life until I played that one. I love it. I'm also number one in my home town (Out of 1 sadly enough :( )

All the iCade/Wiimote/MAME posts in here recently have convinced me that jailbreaking my iPad this weekend is happening.

(Luckily, I'm still on 4.3.3)

:)

If I buy a new iPad 2 from Apple will I be able to Jailbreak it?

What I am saying really is, is it possible to Jailbreak all ios versions?

I intend on getting a wifi only 64gb model.

Magnetic Billiards: Blueprint developer Zee 3 has told Pocket Gamer that the game is set to receive several new features in a coming update.

Besides expected bug fixes and tweaks, the game will be getting two new pages of tables, which will introduce two brand new gameplay features. These new features will add balls that are unable to move, and balls of different colours already connected by fixed struts, to the mix.

According to Zee 3, these make the new tables feel more "puzzley".

Special access

If you're a Skeleton Key owner you'll also get access to a new prototypes menu, where you'll be able to check out new content and game mechanics while they're still in their development stages.

The next Magnetic Billiards: Blueprint update will include two prototypes - one known as Squish, and the other codenamed 'ISMMTTM'.

Squish - a variation on Relentless - is a new Arcade Game mode that is yet to be fully developed. It introduces gravity - which causes balls to fall to the bottom of the table - and tasks you with stacking them as high as possible.

Zee 3 says that it will "probably become a full Arcade Mode in the next update following its release as a prototype."

ISMMTTM is a "game mechanic, physics and play control experiment that will probably spin off into a completely different product."

Prototypes that do eventually see the light of day as proper products will be removed from the game to make room for other entries.

Anyone heard of/played/playing Majesty?

I posted about it earlier in this thread, it's a port of the mobile version of the PC game. Seems good and pretty close, though I preferred the original pc versions graphics. Be warned, the text is TINY on the iphone (and I mean tiny) and the tutorial isn't great - doesn't give you loads of information past the basic buildings.

Cheers for this.

I love TD games but try as I might I can't find anything that comes close to Geodefense.

I've been playing it on and off for2 years now and love the way you can try and get higher scores by letting them creeps get closer to the base.

I think it's basically the perfect example of it's type. Just wish they'd put some more levels out.

Am I the only one who just gets nothing from Tower Defence games? I just don't see the appeal. That being said, I've never played one for more than 5 minutes because they don't "grab" me. Is there some kind of subtlety I'm missing?

Well the first five minutes are generally easy and pointless so I'd try playing a bit more.

As the waves get harder and bigger and longer (erm) the games get really tense as enemies get closer and closer to your base and you have to balance taking a tower down for a few seconds to upgrade it or building more weak towers quickly and stuff like that.
