Pix'n Rush is unplayable on the 3G, there's been a fix released so at least I can actually start a game.

But there's these random lags and pauses, every few seconds which renders it unplayable. I wish they made it clear on the store that the game was for 3GS only

Shrek Kart's alright- I bought it last time it was on sale, it plays fine, nothing amazing about it but it's a decent enough karting game.

Brothers In Arms 2 is meant to be alright for iPhone shooter, just bought it but not had a chance to play it yet. Reviews were pretty positive, and at 59p it's cheaper than a cup of coffee.

GT Racing is supposed to be pretty good, and is usually 4 quid or so. Gangstar, in typical Gameloft tradition, is an utterly bland GTA rip off, but it actually plays really well. Worth it for 59p though, if only to fuck around on for a bit.

Lemmings?!? OMG. It can't possibly be as good as the DS version, but my god it would be awesome to have it always in your pocket... Will definitely have to snatch that up if it does get onto the App Store!

I'll probably take a punt on NOVA just... because, like many others. Doubt I'll play it much if at all, but y'know, the lure of a bargain...

I'll probably get Qwak too, to support the developer. And Pix n love rush cos it sounds cool. Good thing I topped up my iTunes credit eh!

Mine was the same until I restarted my phone, runs ok now! Tricky little game! Plus the 10x multiplier effect is SEX. :(

Is Monkey Ball 2 any good for £2.39?

Yep, one of the only games I have paid full price for and its a very good version of monkey ball, looks lovely on the iphone :eyebrows:

Bought a few more games from the EA sale, NFS Undercover, NFS Shift, Fifa 10 and Sim City. Played Fifa a bit and once you get used to the controls I think its pretty good, not perfect but its probably the best handheld footy game I have played so far. NFS Shift though is the one ive been playing most, looks great and the tilt controls are really good, in fact this might beat Asphalt 5 as my favourite racer on iphone. Not had chance to play the other 2 games yet.

Last I checked NOVA had no invert look option, so be warned if you're like me and can't play games unless you can invert the y-axis.

Can someone please check this? I can't be doing with non-inverted controls, and I can;t check myself as I only have GPRS reception at the mo :eyebrows:

Nova is drivel, but it's not completely terrible or anything. It's just a soulless corridor shooter. It steals everything from Halo except for what made Halo good, like the dynamic combat. There's no AI whatsoever and it's all protect-the-waypoint 'n turret sections if you're not running down corridor valley. The multiplayer is proper shit too with its arena style maps, with whoever aims first or has the best gun always winning. To be fair, there are some impressive set pieces, and the controls are decent. It's just a bit empty!

It doesnt, managed to play the game the whole way through though even without invert controls so its not too bad, just takes a bit of getting used to.

Anyone tried Magical Drop yet? I love the Neo-Geo games, but have a feeling it might be a bit finicky on the iPhone...

Given my user name came from this game, I grabbed this as soon as it was out. It was pretty good actually and improved when they released a controls update. I think it might be better suited to the ipad, though. Thanks for the reminder, I'll give it a try on ipad when I get home tonight.

I gave it a whirl on iPad, but didn't think it worked very well. I prefer the virtual buttons but they are too central to the screen, I found.

Sounds like Halo 2.
