If I was at a party and Natasha was there looking like she does on YBF, I would be knocking some boots, for sure.

Quite confusing really, as she usually looks like a zombie. Which one is real?

There's a pie shop in Birmingham that does pies in a box with mash and gravy and all that, it's pretty good, been there a few years too. They should've just told people to pull the corners of the boxes open when they're eating rather than switch containers!

Anywho, what the hell was Jim thinking considering that place he was interviewing with the massive turn around for food? Terrible stuff, Susan pretty much took over the project managing in the second day

Urban pie. It's well nice.

It's on for two hours on Sunday as well!

It's lovely to see Natasha gone, yeah, but Jim was way shitter in that task. Putting Natasha and Susan together. No business plan. Hiding in the kitchen. £4,800. Caracas. He basically did nothing right at all.

Yep. I hoped that Sugar would fire them both.

I'm glad to see Natasha eliminated but after watching the 'special' episode, I certainly have a lot more respect for the contestants as they have overcome some difficulty in their lives. Jim's folks separated, Susan learnt a new language, was hassled in Australia but succeeded enough to pay off her Mum's house. Tom's dyslexic, Natasha grew up on an estate in an environment that was conducive to leaving school or getting pregnant at 16. Helen seems to be the only one who had a pretty normal sort of life.

Anyway, it was pretty obvious that Sugar was looking for a way to eliminate Natasha once she got into the boardroom. If this task had taken place three weeks ago, Jim would've been the one to go, he made so many mistakes throughout the task. I think anytime there's a creative aspect to the task, Jim generally doesn't do well (Hip Replacement, Caraca's, etc...). Susan managed to turn it around on the second day although her bad relationship with Natasha made it difficult for any progress to be made. I thought Susan came out of this task looking strong.

I was really impressed with Tom and Helen's idea. Their execution was brilliant and I was really impressed that they had worked out all the numbers. I said a few weeks back that I thought Tom and Helen working together would be an excellent team.

Really looking forward to Sunday's episode and in a way, I'm glad for the format change so that we don't have to see all the losers again. Seriously, having to pick a team from people who weren't good enough and then have to RELY on them to do as they're asked is flawed IMO.

Favourites (in order): Tom, Helen, Susan, then Jim.

Well, their idea was just a rip off of Pieminister...aren't they in London now? They've been around in Bristol for years.

Zok, shall we go for a pie one day?

It'll either be incredibly awkward or you'll have a new best friend for life.

Mmm, pieminister. So fucking good.

Yeah this basically. I found Natasha immensely irritating like most here but after watching the background episode I have a lot more respect for her. She had a pretty tough upbringing and managed to go to university and do quite well for herself. She seemed massively out of her depth for ages on this but I feel a bit guilty for slagging her off. Plus she looked hot on the follow-up show last night.

Tom and Helen were brilliant. In the space of two days they pretty much came up with a real business with numbers and margins and everything. OK there were a few mistakes ("didn't Columbus bring back the potato from America?" "Yes. Yes he did") but it was amazing how well they done in two days. They are neck and neck for Sunday.

This chain does pies but never been. They are also doing an "Apprentice" pie competition to make up your own pie.

I grew up on a council estate. Didn't feel deprived of anything and it never held me back from University and a good career. It's so snobbish to assume all council estates lead to a tough, miserable life

It isn't like that makes much of a difference. When I look at successful people, they come from all types of backgrounds. I think that the secret is to stop looking at the past and using it as an excuse, but discover what you can do. I've never used my past as an automatic entitlement for a medal, and nobody knows what it consisted of except those who were either involved, or those who saw. Not using it doesn't entitle you to a medal either! I think it's a matter of earning from yourself, for yourself.

This whole council estate thing puts her in the different crowd, as if to say that she had to try harder than others to succeed because she started further back. I don't think it works like that at all.

Perhaps I came across wrong then. I didn't mean to sound snobby. I didn't mention council estate or anything like that. Just the programme mentioned that she did grow up in quite a tough area and her sister did get pregnant at 16, I think.

One of the reasons I like the Apprentice is that they cut out all that sob-story crap and all we see is their performance for 12 weeks. All I was trying to say was that taking her background into consideration made me think of her differently and perhaps a bit more sympathetically. A bit like when I heard it said on the You're Fired show that Zoe had cancer twice. Almost as if you forget they are real people behind the bravado and bullshit we see on the Apprentice.
