HAZAMA FOR LIFE

I'm so glad somebody good* will be picking him up. I had a little dabble with him but my execution isn't up to scratch on the fightpad. Basically, I feel like rllmuk needs a good Hazama because he's fucking great to watch, and now I don't have to shame myself any further with my ham-fisted attempts to play him.

*No offence meant to anyone else; I have no idea if anybody else is intending to learn him. I just remember Willei was one of the better players in our CT lobbies.

Hazamas execution really is distressingly hard. He basically has one combo with a million different ways to end it depending very strictly on positioning, character and meter. I'll go back and try and learn him once I've had more fun with wolfboy, who's a LOT more friendly to my gammy hands.

Plus Valkenhayn has...shenanagins.

EDIT: A bit of fooling around at the easier end of his combo spectrum gives:

5B > 3C > 2B > 5C > j.B > 214B > 9D > j.AAA > j.236A > j.236B >j.214A (3.2k Damage meterless)

and this:

5B > 3C > 2B > 5C > j.B > dj.B > j.C > 236236C (3.8k damage with 50 meter, incredibly easy to land)

Yes, but apparently they're implemented a little better - you can press a button to see exactly how they should be performed IIRC.

Choo (who has done all SSFIV trials) has told me he's finding these ones quite hard, but he's very new to the game, so take from that what you will.

Fingers crossed this finally arrives for me today...

Not only are there trials, there's also a nice tutorial on the game system, which contains a useful little guide to each character, shows you a few short blockstrings, in Valks case showed me which was his (utterly amazing) overhead.

JaySab. Will probably need to tidy up my friends list first, thinking about it. Weren't MS supposed to be increasing the friend list size? In fact, isn't that the reason I can no longer take an old XBox online?

yes I heard that as well regarding the friends list.

Strange I swear I fought a Jaysab about 2 nights ago thinking that name looks familiar, maybe it was Jaysab 360. Anyway who ever it was they beat me :-(

this version nonsense - i've downloaded 1.01 twice and 1.02 three times now! i knew i shoulda stuck to £40 games. an hour free this evening and spending half of it getting DLC for a character i won't be able to use is not classy. this must be karmic retribution for calling dave names.
