No codes here...great games last night, sorry for being shit. More practice needed.

On further inspection Nu's combos that worked so well before (either air daggers, or on floor to back to 236d) have changed so they don't combo at all now.

The old air combos are in there though. I may plump for squirreltits when someone knows about the code.

Thankfully that specific combo isn't a one frame link. If the timing is anything like the first game you want 214B straight away then delay 214D as late as possible. Then the standing B should hit with little effort.

This, it deffo isn't a 1 frame link the B is slightly delayed. These combos are a nightmare - I stayed up till stupid o'clock trying to nail some last night.

So last night was the first night of rllmuk lobbies and I like to feel fun was had by all.

Early evening was myself, Raf and Choo. Raf went back to the old school with lamda 11 bringing the psyhic daggers. Choo went new school bringing some combos, me I went random with button mashing ftw. Alistarr joined us for a few games but we all quit cause his Arkuane looked too dangerous once the bugometer got full.

Late evening saw a busier lobby with Strawdonkey, dogsout, raf and me. Me and straw were rocking Ragna with our own variations on the starter combos, raf was using the power of cider to fuel his fires (Not sure totally effective) and dogsout was beating people for fun - I don't even wanna talk about the Tager vs Noel match - I was boucing off walls like no one's business.

Was good fun, everyone was on a learning curve. I played some ranked after and just got 'owned' :-(

I'm not feeling Tager this time around. Perhaps it'll pass and I'll be back to him but I'm feeling quite determined to learn somebody new. I'm leaning towards Hazama but pretty much none of them are safe from my glare of appraisal. So many choices!

Good times all round again tonight...whuppings handed to me from all and sundry...but...a twenty minute challenge session turned into about an hour or so.

The end result was two new combos picked up to replace what's been taken out. No mistaking though, Lambda has to be worked a lot harder than before to get anything good out now.

I'm thinking about learning someone new too...this time I'm determined to put the time in.

Oh, and spuck, I think we all get a bit of Tager fear. Blame Dogsout ;-)

Nope, just the ones you may have picked up with your LE (depending on where you bought it) now work as originally intended.

Kayin - where was your code was it in the sealed box or seperate. Raf didn't have to enter a code the character just unlocked for him.

I have emailed Zavvi cause they don't have a customer service number but no response so hassled them again.

Anyway more importanttly fuck Jonster and his ability to play this game. There was me and Raf having good times with our 4 hit combos (to be fair Raf has learnt a few new ones) and the Jonster appears and all I see is red numbers and my character bouncing from one side of the screen to another and then he traps you in the corner.....;-)

Anyway I eventually beat him and got a perfect to boot, Raf is my witnesss. Jonster tried to claim he was distracted but we all know my ability to download people's patterns and then trap them like a steel trap trapping something with its trappery.

Still no sign of the lightweight Jiro - eh? You can't be learning all the combos before playing, ain't gonna be no fun. Also where is the man like JLM - still no copy.

Somone made laser beams appear the other night - that was the highlight of my day.

Hey, that hurts Dave. Lightweight? You cut me to the quick. I've not even had time to play a single game yet. Suddenly my old Ghost Recon buddies are all keen to play CoD and BFBC2 and I can't say no. I'm torn though cos I'm gagging to play some BlazBlue. I'm away all weekend as well so it's going to be ages before I get the chance to play properly. Grr!

My copy is sat at the Royal Mail delivery office. I can get it redelivered on Monday, but I'm also told that they're open til 8pm on Wednesdays, so maybe I could find out where it is and get it tonight. Irregardless, I'll be lobbying it up by Monday at the latest.

It's fairly different, but definitely similar enough that GG players will feel at home with it a lot faster than anybody else. If you loved Guilty Gear XX then I'll be very surprised if you don't love BB as well.

So I'm thinking of buying this for me and a friend (as a birthday present). We both loved Guilty Gear XX and many a battle was had.

Is the gameplay fairly similar?

Yes, it's fairly similar, and if anything easier to get into. The characters are just as mental and intricate, and like most of us here, it's probably easier to stick with one character to start with, as their abilities vary massively.

I've tried messing around with Valk some more, and he's got potential..Not sure how usable his combos will be online, but he puts out an absolute TON of hurt :D

EDIT: Christ, I forgot about Jonster and his Bang beating the everloving shite out of me in CT

earlier this week it was 2 for £30 in HMV, in case that's useful for you to know and you haven't read the rest of the thread.
