Poor performances last nite ensured i didnt earn even a point from the 2 fixtures.

Samps attack was too pacy for my treacle footed defence and the amount of 1 on 1s they had was ridiculous...

well played mate, once again i must say its gonna be a tough season!!

Alshie (Stuttgart) 2 - 0 (Toulouse)Skajess

Skajess 0 - 4 Alshie Milan

Two games that were much closer than the scores suggest. I was on the back foot in game one for the first 35 minutes or so. I was trying a new 3-4-3 formation and it just wasn't working, Skajess was through on goals a couple of times and only good goalkeeping and luck kept him out.

i switched back to 4-4-2 as he was hitting me on the wings and got almost instant results. Not really due to the change, a goal mouth scramble, the ball fell to Gomez and he buried it against the run of play. 2nd half I came into it more and statred getting the forwards into the game. Cacau notched a second on the break and it was game over.

Game 2 again saw Skajess having the bulk of posession but Stuttgart were content to break the blay up and hit quickly with their pace. A pacy break saw Cacau notch the opener before half-time. 2nd half Stuttgart began to dominate but Toulouse could have and probably should have been back in it. I think there was a header of the bar and then a shot that clipped both posts. Stuttgart responded with another Cacau goal on the break, Gomes notched one and Cacau finished his hat-trick with a lovely header form a deep cross. The action wasn't over as Hitzlesperger had time to get fouled, dust himself down and tamely slot his penalty into the arms of the Toulouse keeper. Thank god it wasn't a vital pen!

Cheers for the games mate, you probably should have taken something from them on balance of play. Stuttgart's French tour continues tonight against Yiggy in Marseille.

Yiggy (Marseille) 1 - 5 (stuttgart) Alshie

Alshie 2 - 1 Yiggy

Stuttgart's successful tour of France continues with 2 wins putting them right back in the mix after a terrible start to the season. Game one saw five stuttgart goals in the first half effectively killing the game before half time. It seemed that the strikers were clean through with every ball and they also seemed to actually find the net for a change. One of those weird games where everything went right. Special mention to Ben Arfa's late consolation goal for Marseille. It didn't alter the outcome but it was a sweet sweet volley in to the top right.

Game two was more like you'd expect, very close and Marseille opened the scoring in the first few minutes with a lightning break and centre. I was panicking at this point in case I'd used all my luck in game one but the game flowed end to end and Marseille couldn't add to their lead. Eventually Gomez broke free and slotted the ball into the net.

2nd half was cagey as neither team wanted to lose and both teams had great opportunities to score a winner. It looked to be heading for a draw until Gomez and Cacau found themselves 2 on 2 in the dying minutes. Gomez cut left and whipped in a ball that Cacau just had to nod into the net. In the dying seconds Niang had a chance to pull Marseille level but blasted over under pressure.

Cheers for the games mate. No idea what happened in game one....

First Game. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.

No idea either. As you say every ball you were getting forward was falling sweetly and I couldn't muster shit. It was as one sided as you can get for the first half and the 2nd half I was just poor rather than piss poor at creating anything.

Second game. Mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Was happier with the first half for obvious reasons and the game was a lot more open. It still wasnt really working for me though and it was a very frantic midfield. The winner was a good get-away. The sort that just didnt seem to be falling my way. Even when I did get one I totally scuffed it high. There was no composure.

Its all gone to shit after my first 2 games and suddenly from top I am staring the drop zone in the face. The next 2 are gonna be biggies for sure.

Well played me footballing colleauge.

Hey Deco,

Welcome to the league. Just a heads up, I'm not going to be around all of next week 13th - 18th as I'm out of the country. I'll get in touch when I get back. Don't suppose it will matter too much as I know you've got a backlog to catch up with. :)

Get that post count up over 50 so you can do PM's!

(Yiggy) Marseille 0 - 0 Benfica (Petey)

Benfica ruled this game, and hit the woodwork twice, but couldn't find the goal. 17 shots to Marseille's 5 showed how one sided the match was.

0-0 was the score, but it doesn't show the whole match. Both teams were not on form, stray passes and 'interesting' balls being played all around the pitch. But it finished goalless.

(Petey) Benfica 0 - 0 Marseille (Yiggy)

Again this match was one sided and the scoreline didn't reflect the action on the field. Marseille bossed this game and had many clear cut chances to score, a couple of one-on-ones and a handful of corners.

Was a midfield battle and Marseille won this one, only 2 chances all game for Benfica but again the deadlock was not broken.

Good games Yiggy, so many chances for both of us over both games.

I would have preferred a win for me in the first and a win for you in the second, but it was not to be. I'll have to be happy with 2 points.

Good luck with the rest of the season

Yeah what a mare!

Agree on all counts there. 3 points each was deserved but 1 point each will have to do. That disallowed goal in the second game eh? That was well suspect!

You too buddy. Good luck for the rest of the season.

Gingerling (Palermo) 1 - 5 (Stuttgart) Alshie

Alshie (Stuttgart) 2 -2 (palermo) Gingerling

Game one was fairly one-sided, Stuttgart went in front early from a Gomez header and never really looked back. Palermo had opportunities at 1-0 and 2-0 and if they could have snatched one of them earlier it may have been a different game. Gingerling got a consolation goal late on and then could easily have grabbed a couple more before full time. It seemed the goal boosted their morale and they realised Stuttgart's backline are a bit shaky.....

Which brings me on to game 2. Total opposite, Stuttgart had a couple of early chances and failed to take them and then Palermo went 1-0 up. Gingerling proceeded to boss the rest of the first half and was unlucky not to extend the lead. Second half Stuttgart came back into it and again just couldn't find the final ball or the a goal. Suddenly Lehmann and Bouhlarouz contrived to bounce the ball between them before Lehmann scuffed a clearance right into the path of the Palermo frontman 2-0.

I have to confess I though it was over at this point and was annoyed with the slack defensive cock-up because at 1-0 I was still in it. Decided to push the men up and got some immediate

results when Gomez rattled in a header about 7 minutes later. 2-1 and (for me) game back on. Stuttgart started creating more and more chances but were getting exposed at the back and it looked like it could end with another goal for either side. The equaliser came in the 89th minute from a quick break from a Palermo attack, Gomez down the wing and time to play the ball home for Cacau to rifle into the roof of the net. 2-2 and a point rescued. Hard luck on Gingerling who had bossed this game and probably deserved the win.

Cacau had a chance to win it in the 90th when a cross came in but unbelievably the stupid game froze for about 10 seconds, when it restarted the ball was whipped clear but who knows what might have been!

Whilst disappointed to drop 2 points, I'm viewing it as a definite point gained in match two and all in all two good games, total roller-coaster.

Cheers for the games mate, good luck with your upcoming fixtures.

Oh God due to Syntax being kicked it looks like I am religated! That's 4 points I have lost.

I am gutted I lost the 2nd game tonight after going 2-0 up.

Every game I play is full of drama and end to end but I rarely win.

Anyway cheers for the games, and good luck with the rest of the season mate.

It was totally harsh and I would have been gutted myself had a few results like that myself last season. I wouldn't write yourself off just yet though, you played some nice stuff in game 2 and pushing for more goals just left you a bit exposed. Stuttgart's front two are pretty pacy and difficult to defend.

I was bottom after my first couple of games and have put together a good run, you've still to play a few who are round about you as well.

0-3 xXBlack0uTXx

2-4 xXBlack0uTXx

Absalutley buzzing with the result.

First game was brilliant. We were both getting used to each other and finally I popped a goal. He got caught offside a lot. I then done a fatal tackle and got yellowed. But came back to make it 2-0. The 3rd goal came in the second half. Not really good. But it done the job ^.^

Second game I was on fire. I got a goal in the first 10 mins. Then I popped the second. 1V1 with the keeper. Couldn't miss. Then he scored to make it 2-1. He then kept me in my half and nearly scored. Till I got a break and shot. Then the game was over. Or was it? My stupid defender decides to bang on into his own net! 3-2 to me and he's runnin.. 1v1 with the keeper! I says NO! takes it and runs! Then blasts off into his half. Takes it down the wing and slots it into the left hand corner. 4-2.

Well that was an essay.

He was actually very good. He created a lot of chances for himself and missed a few good opportunities. Overall he was a great player who I'd love to play again.

Thanks for the games man.
