What......My headset wont fit in the hole!

What? Are you sure- unless the hole is different to the TE! I doubt that though

I've used both a plantronics x30 360 headset and official 360 one in my stick fine! Wait they didn't work in that cable though- weird

Ah I worked it out- you must have the old style headset- the one with the mute and volume box around the connector and not seperate on the new ones.

Its the black one that came with my elite, is there a better one I can blag for free somewhere?

The newer ones have this and go directly into your stick

I got one at my local Cex for 8 quid

This is the other one that fits. It's my fave headset on the 360, but I broke it and can't find another

Ah the finished article looks great!

Cheers - I've still got a few loose ends to sort out but for now I need a rest from stick building as it's caned all of my free time and a fare bit of my sleep as well! It's a totally epic stick though, sanwa parts are lush and wireless is all of the win!

If you ever decide to make a PS2 one and then sell it, let me know

I am considering making sticks to order but at the moment the cost of parts is quite high not to mention the cost of labour! Would you really pay in excess of a TE for a custom stick, probably not!

How did you get the perspex to fit without screws? Does it just fit into the frame nice 'n snug like?

Finally got a TE to complement my HRAP3. Wonderful stuff. Nothing like having a few games with friends (or the gf when she's so inclined) with these massive bricks of plastic sitting in your lap.

The 7 year-old version of me would be insanely jealous of the 27 year-old me.

Tight fit (although not quite tight enough) + the screw in sanwa buttons which do a very good job of holding down the right hand side.

How much did your stick cost, Quexex?

Too much! I think the arcade parts were £34 or there abouts, the AXISdapter was £22 the DS3 would have been about £25 from Cex but came from my collection. Wood was basically free Perspex was 36! But o have enough to make 8 more sticks at least call it a fiver... Erm my blood sweat and tears - too much. Sorry posting ok the iPhone that's ... well call it £90! I suppose it's cheaper than modding an SE! and it is wireless :)

My TE stick finally turned up from Play (some three months after ordering). It's significantly sexier than my Hori EX.
Got my stick yesterday, haven't used it yet.

These appear to be trickling through now. I've got mine pre ordered with SCAN (I cancelled my PLAY order - more fool me). I'm 18th in the queue apparently - but am assured there has been a steady flow of small deliveries coming through in the last week or so by the customer services lady.

Got to be honest - the hype has worn off a little for me. But I'm still quite excited - especially with MVC2 coming in June.

Incidentally Shopto cancelled my pre-order for that stick a couple of days ago. Anyone know if there will definitely be a MVC2 stick?

The MVC2 stick was confirmed to be a rumour upon announcement. But you never know, if there's a demand for one...

I've got a spare fightpad I'll be putting in the trading folder soon if anyone wants it. It's brand new and unused and is the Ryu flavour. :( I got it from the madcatz store and I'll be wanting cost price for it. Just thought I'd mention it in here before sticking it in trading as we tend to get people lurking in trading waiting to snap stuff up and not posting in the rest of the forum.

Thanks for the heads up on this. Unfortunately they only had the ps3 versions in stock - and apparently they have back orders on the 360 versions. So alas I'm still waiting.

No rush though - I'll be practicing MVC2 on the ol' DC with the stick in the interim.
