Brilliant. Out of interest what wire did you use?

The guts of a network cabled, worked perfectly with the maplin quick connects too ( I think you asked about them before)

;) Fucking rocks it's taken me weeks and weeks to do this and the last hurdle went without a hitch! Oh and flower works fine it's all about keeping the sixaxis orientated correctly :D

Unless it's the TE, that's a crappy price.

I thought the stick craze was over and stuff was getting back in stock, even Amazon lets you back order an EX2 for 40 quid again

On another note, I'd love this for my PS2 if I had the funds

Gorgeous

(been modded with proper buttons and stick ball as you can see)

Lovely... :)

I'd love one too. I'm still tempted by trying out Seimitsu stuff though. Therefore I'd love to find one of those ultra rare SE editions of the HRAP for PS2... If I had the funds :(

Ah you can just swap out the buttons for seimitsu ones (as long as it's not one of those game themed HRAP's) without having to find a super rare HRAP-SE

I know... I think I just want one because they're super rare. :) Plus, the colourway is nice!

For anyone with 360's btw, I've actually been playing Castle Crashers with the TE. It's actually a lot of fun on the stick! I tried it with an EX2 before as I mentioned but the game doesn't let you reconfigure the buttons so it was unplayable on that for me.

I also tried The Dishwasher and it works great with that too surprisingly- I wasn't expecting it to be. Moving around on the stick and mashing those big sexy Sanwa buttons to juggle the enemies in the air is AWESOME.

Obviously its very nice with Ikaruga, R Type Dimensions, Metal Slug etc but I didn't expect to chose the stick over the joypod for the above games

Hey all

The 1 off colab stick is done and ready, this is for a great cause and am privileged and honoured to have been a part of something to do with a game and developer I love, and to do some good with the outcome. The stick is being blind auctioned with all proceeds going to the homeless charity Shelter.

The auction starts today and runs for 2 weeks, the starting bid is £130 the going rate for a Tourney stick, and comes fitted with custom Sanwa buttons and stick ball, and is fully signed.

to make your blind bid just send a mail here iheartdavewhite@capcomeuro.com I didnt come up with that lol.

cheers

Dave

THIS! is what i've been planning on doin to my TE. :)

I got a hi res copy of the Vewlix art work off Shoryuken and I totally gotta do it!

The glossy art work as standard on the TE is too glossy and horrible....it gets scratched and mucky real easy.

Yo Dave White! :( Your stick is very nice! did you change the stick to something else or just the ball top?

:o

I think that is as standard, it was an Amazon special edition.

It came with standard orange hori buttons and ball top.

You can see that's a bubble top on the stick added later and the poster of the picture on neogaf said he replaced all the buttons

In the Q&A there is a 'Question' that reads

"Dont rape me on international shipping"

Not a question, but very funny.

Thats an amazing bit of kit!

That's exactly what I used great service and no rapage on international postage I just went for standard USPS it arrived in 5 days!

It was the single simplest part of my build no soldering FTW! Not that I cant solder but it would take an age be really tricky and may not work! For about £20 it was well worth it!

Fuck me. Are these MadCatz TE sticks really £240+ or is that just chancers upping the price?

Chancers - GameFocus were selling a first run version just after launch for 380 so this doens't surprise me at all until madcatz satisfy demand it will stay that way!

FFS. Managed to wear down the dryest 'gief ever just now. Had him in the air ready to finish him off with an Ultra, and I'm greeted with 'please reconnect controller' yet again. Fuck you very much, Madcatz :(

DC - HRAP all the way!

Tempted to try and dual mod mine at some point. At least i'll have a stick I can rely on!

Anyway, the TE sticks proved to be just fantastic, no?

There are a fair few reports of TE sticks losing connection / buttons dying. Madcatz probably use the same PCB for both sticks, it certainly wouldn't surprise me..

I do like the design of the TE. Of course, the components in it are great too. Apart from the bit that Madcatz are responsible for :S

So, Off the back of Geldras recommendation my Madcatz Fightstick turned up this afternoon.

1st impressions are its a nice bit of a kit.

Feels weighty,Solid and its a nice size and shape.

The mic connector thing is a bad joke, really wanky idea but I will get over it.

Gonna tap up my man Nick Pavey (The man has the patience of a saint with me) for some advice regards some nice new buttons/stick/artwork.

Its a keeper and a massive improvement over my EX2.
