Finished!!!! :D I looked at my stats and found that I did it in just under 20 hours. How is that considering I hardly did any extra stuff? Can't believe I started it in May!

It IS finished isn't it? not 100% sure. Marsten dies and you take over his son...no more missions right?

Yeah there are still a few things left to do. For instance...

Remember some guys just pure fucked over your daddy

Oh maaaaaaaaaaan,

Went to blackwater trainstation...nothing

Went to the gazebo...had a little chat to some guy

Went to the government building...had another pointless chat with someone

Went to that McFarlen ranch, nothing. Anyway, looked on youtube and it's actually in some random town in MEXICO (the LAST place I'd think to look) near a river where the guy is shooting birds, kill him and you get credits. Just seems so weird, I'd have never thought to continue if I didn't come here. Bet 70% at least of the people that play this think it's over as soon as you see the gravestones.

Final quest line spoilers

That's where you go to kill the guy but not where the mission starts. I think you meet the devil / supernatural type fellow at Blackwater train station and he gives you the quest to kill the guy off. You go and see his wife first, IIRC. Don't know why it didn't appear for you at the train station.

The game has really been grabbing me over the last couple of sessions. I'm in and around Blackwater now, but I randomly wander off to complete costumes or help out strangers or do the challenges.

Anyway, I've never bought a horse from traders and I've only done a few of the breaking in horse missions. Am I missing something being stuck on the default nag? Should I go buy a decent 'oss?

If you've got a Horse deed you can always get the same one to come to you, rather than being stuck out in the countryside if a Cougar or something else nasty kills your steed (or you accidentally shoot one in the head, or walk one into the river . The better horses will make getting around a bit quicker too.

It's time for this old mare to be sent to the glue factory then. Cheers.

I accidentally shot my horse on a carriage escort mission and honour was taken off me. I stole that horse fairly, it was mine to shoot.

Finished! Ace game and one of the best well-rounded worlds I can remember. Best sky boxes ever.

Though a huge bug popped up during the ending,

After Jack and Abigail bury John, the time skips by and you see Abigail's grave placed next to Johns. The camera pans around you see a grown up Jack Marston. Grand idea!

All set on revenge, itching to hunt down Ross, the camera pans around to behind Jack.... and freezes. I can't move it at all and the map is spinning around like crazy. I'm staring at a tree in the rain for about five minutes and wondering if this is a forced period to make me reflect on Johns life. Maybe I should give up the way of the gun. Maybe I shouldn't hunt down Ross and be a better ma... oh the camera has fallen through the scenery. Now I'm looking up at where Jack is stood with trees and horses flickering in and out of the world. Nooo, I must have lost my mind from greif!

The funniest example was when I whistled and a moment later a horse splatted down next to me, dead, having faithfully run off a cliff-top above.

Anyone know how long Undead Nightmare is?

Not too sure.. just started playing it last night actually. Put a couple of hours in and got 25% complete... so Id guess around 7/8 hours.

Its bloody good though and up there as one of the best pieces of DLC Ive played!..cant believe it was only 400 points as well!

Anyone know how long Undead Nightmare is?

It took me about 6 hours end to end, but I played the fuck out of RDR (100% completion, all offline achieves) so I probably went through it faster than most would. I've not 100% UN yet, but I'm on about 12 hours with one challenge to go.

To be honest, even if the only thing you got were the 4 horses of the apocalypse it would be worth it, running around on a horse that

is on fire and can set things on fire

is just too much fun for words.

I was getting the itch to go back to this, but couldn't be arsed with sp, but I'm finding that multiplayer is not too bad now they've added extra content. For just chilling the hideouts and hunting are fine, and poker is great against humans, especially when they're on comms.

The default mp matches are still shit tbh, but zombie onslaught is a good laugh and stronghold adds much needed direction to proceedings. I find having fixed objectives means where you move is more important than how you move (which in rockstar games tends to be 'corner like a supertanker'), and mutual firing arcs tends to mitigate the iffy weapon strength.

Got that bad boy last night..its awesome!

Also I saw

what I assumed to be the "Pestilence" horse, up near Tall Trees. Typically though I was in the middle of being attaked by a shitload of Zombie at the time.. so lost it! :(

Playing through undead nightmare at the moment. Nothing better than the total mayhem that ensues in some of the bigger towns when they're completely overrun. finally gotten into the multiplayer too, it's class in a glass. Are there many others on here still playing?

Don;t worry, if you don't catch it first time then it respawns at a later date. If you kill any of them though, then that is it, they don'tt come back, which I only found out after rather foolishly

riding Pestilence directly off a cliff about three seconds after I had tamed him.

I've just gotten into mp properly, in general it still seems to have quite a few hangers-on though, no sign of it drying up just yet.

I'm not sure I 'get' friendly freeroam though; for something that isn't meant to allow pvp combat I still saw a bit last night, albiet inconsistently.

I was taking potshots at lanterns with my new rifle, and some random took offense and ran up to shotgun me in the face....no harm done, didn't bother me, and he joined in the target practice. Later in the same session though I got killed by one guy, and I took the opportunity to hunt him down and kill him 5 times in as many minutes as retribution.

Not sure why one was allowed why the other wasn't, unless it's something to do with the bounty/most wanted thing.
