Had a bit of a sad mission earlier killing certain things... felt a bit of a shit by the end of that mission

just started that one myself and after the first one just couldnt pull the trigger on any more - dam you ROCKSTAR!! you have took my revenge away! if you complete said mission do they respawn or are they gone for good (trying to stay as spolier free for peeps here)

but have to agree amazing game so far and very intense wasnt expecting the zombies to be fast as they are really do keep you on your toes esp in towns

Well this is fucked. Tried everything to get it working, but it's still throwing me back to the dash and I have no other quest options at this point in the game. Looks like I've wasted six hours.

Does this help?

6th post down - sounds like a similar bug, but he got round it by approaching the town from the South rather than the North.

Dunno - sounds wacky, but it might work?

This is bloody brilliant so far :D

Really great DLC effort, you can tell alot of works gone into this, unlike other 'unlock shit already on the disc' offerings. At first i thought this would just be some shit gimmick designed to flog dlc for halloween, but wild west zombies just works. I dont know how, but it does!

I have tamed 2 of the mythical horses, but now they have off. How do I make them stay?

Tie them to a hitching post , (found at most settlements). You'll get a prompt to press x (360) to hitch as you approach. After that the hitched horse is yours and should come whenever you whistle until you hitch another horse or it dies

Which steeds did you get and where did you find them?

Could I play the DLC if I've not really completed much of the original game. Will it spoil the original for me?

You can.

It will and it won't, it will spoil a few locations and introduce some characters you probably haven't met yet and you might pick up some story info.

It doesn't really spoil any of the major events from the main RDR story. (what it does spoil, you'd have probably figured out within a couple of hours of starting the game.)

:)

Just playing out the end of Red Dead so I can buy the DLC. Been really surprised at the ending though , the way it continues to play out after it would seem the game was actually finished. I can feel the tension rising as I keep expecting something untoward to happen...

One thing that really bugs me in games like this is "Return between the hours of 6am and 5pm" especially with regard to characters and missions. I realise that for perhaps some realism, and maybe missions that depend on the time of day, its might be a decent decision not to allow you to knock on someones door at 3am, but please allow me an easy way to forward the time to the required hour. Saving in towns is not easy if you dont have a house there, and if you do then there is no guarantee you will wake up at the correct hour. Found myself a lot just sitting down the joy pad at the desired location and playing something on my iphone until the cut scene kicks in.

You can set up a camp to save (and move time forwards).

But an option like Fallout's "Wait" would be handy.

Can you choose the time you want to wake though? If so I seem to have missed that. However I find the camp thing a pain in the arse anyway as you need to ride a good bit out of town to use it. A simple "start button" choose "save" in addition to a wait option as you say, would have been much welcome.

It worked! :omg:

Thanks, man. Took about six attempts, but I got there in the end. Turns out a combination of of helping some towns with the undead, saving in a couple of different places and then approaching from the south worked for me.

Wow, it really is a whole new experience, isn't it?

I'm still in Mexico in the main game, so I suppose I spoiled a couple of things for myself a teensy bit by playing it before I had actually reached Blackwater, but I couldn't resist. Bloody hell it's tense! I need more deadeye!!

Cheers. I got Pestilence about 30 mins into the game, after heading to the first town and then just riding around. Turns out the second, isn't a mythical beast. It's just my usual steed who has been zombified

Haha, this is fucking GREAT :)

Just played the opening bits, but I can't see popping undead heads using Dead Eye on horseback ever getting old. It absolutely nails the Romero feel, especially when you're on foot and not paying attention and suddenly surrounded by decaying zombies. Seems like Rockstar once again hit it out of the park.

One of the more interesting aspects of the DLC is that if you make Thieves' Landing safe it looks "normal", as in, the sun shines on it instead of that constant murky green that it is on the normal game.

Also, having been playing Halo Reach and Fallout 3 lately I'd forgotten how incredible this game looks. It's brilliant.
