Broken Sword was SUPERB. Not so keen on the rest of the series and the one that got 9 in Edge was a travesty...

HOWEVER

it's a perfect match and as said in OP - maybe Lucasarts will get off their arses and get some classics on as well.

As long as it doesn't have the fatal GBA 'spanish bug'.

I'm assuming you mean the third one, as the other two got 9s aswell.

Adored the original two though - gorgeous hand-painted backgrounds and wonderful animations. All wrapped up with music by the bloke who did Morse, and a really interesting story.

Sweeet, loving the point and click revival and the fact that its now portable or sofa (instead of sitting at a PC moniter :/ ) Ive only played the GBA broken sward (and completed it by flukely avoiding that show stopper bug)... now back to sam n max (wii) and A Vampyre Story (pc)

I loved Broken Sword, but I already played it so I hope they add enough content to make replaying it worthwhile.

And Broken Sword 3 must be amongst the most broken games I've ever played (played it on Xbox), what a piece of shit that was. Ugly as sin, broken controls, terrible loading times, bugs and glitches and a rubbish story with a terrible ending. Oh, stealth sections too. The first two games were great though.

Was that the one with the "crate puzzles"?

Dear God.

Yes.

It was shit beyond belief. I loved BS1 and BS2, and I was over the moon when BS3 would be all 3D and cinematic and when the Xbox version got a great glowing review in Edge (9/10!) I was in heaven. It started off well enough (the bits in Paris were good) even if it was a bit rough around the edges, but from the Prague castle onwards it was just like guiding a turd through a sewer. By the time I came to the ending, I was fuming with rage and despair. It's firmly in my top 3 of most hated/disappointing games of all time.

it's absolutely terrible.

I gave up with it.

Edge review was nonsense.
